1. Why do scientists believe that life originated from other planets?

Answer:
Some scientists think that life originated on other planets, claiming the
"Panspermia" hypothesis, which proposes that life began on Earth when "seeds" of
life, already existent in the cosmos, came from space. How did these microbes or
seeds get here? Meteorites, comets, and spaceships are among the hypothesized
modes of transportation. Furthermore, Greek philosopher Anaxagoras spoke about the
concept in the 5th century B.C. Since then, several scientists, like British astronomer
Sir Frederick Hoyle (1915-2001), have postulated that panspermia not only explains
how life began here, but that it also continues to deliver microorganisms and other
life-forms to Earth.

2. What specific problems in society are needed to be solved by biologists?

Answer:
With the COVID-19 epidemic affecting the entire world for more than two
years, biologists should prioritize developing a solution for the sickness that would
permanently eliminate COVID-19. Furthermore, progress should be made in devising
a meal that can end world hunger. Billions of people continue to suffer from hunger
and malnutrition; thus, developing an advanced meal plan that includes fordable but
nutritional food and supplements will assist to reduce global hunger. Finally, there
should be an urgent approach and intervention for non-curable illnesses including
AIDS, cancer, and others. There is a chance that these illnesses can be cured in the
future with extensive research and clinical trials.

3. Can the scientific method to be used to deny or prove the existence of God? Justify.

Answer:
From a Christian standpoint, the scientific method cannot be used to disprove
or confirm God's existence since believing God exists stems from one's trust in Him.
As a result, the scientific method will not help scientists discover the truth if they do
not also believe in and recognize Him. Furthermore, despite its advancement, the
scientific method can still be inapplicable in hypothesizing one's belief in religion
because science can become inaccurate at times, causing perplexity among believers
and non-believers alike.
