1 General
This document outlines the acceptance test procedure for a new IP Switches integration in
ITLA Dominican network.

2 Scope
This document covers customer acceptance for the IP Switches delivery and configuration
for traffic. All acceptance tests will be carried out at the customer site. Depending on time
constraints, licensing, and mutual agreement, a sub-set of these test cases may be performed
instead, or additional, customer-specific test cases may be added.
This document also serves as a test report. Each test case contains fields for reporting (notes,
signatures, etc.). If a node has passed certain test case, appropriate field should be signed.
Not performed tests, or tests that have failed for any reasons are noted in this test report and
the reason is explained in Notes..

Overall integration is considered signed-off when Final Site Acceptance has been signed off.
ATP needs to be distributed as per agreed on distribution list.

3 Acceptance Test Procedure
The ATP consists of several groups of tests:

a. Delivery Acceptance: Selected cases, which serve as verification of delivery of

SW, HW, configuration.

b. Integration Acceptance: These tests reflect the services provided by the solution,
including operation, maintenance, etc.

c. Final Site Acceptance: These test cases serve as verification of finalized

integration of the new node.

3.1 Prerequisites

This chapter describes the network configuration and tools necessary for the tests.

3.1.1 Hardware Tools

• PC/Workstation to connect to the switches and monitor the traffic

• Serial cable to connect to the switches

3.1.2 Software Tools

• Secure CRT | Putty | MobaXterm

4 Delivery Acceptance
The scope of this chapter is to verify the configuration and connectivity of the solution.

4.1 IP Switches

4.1.1 Hardware Acceptance

Description
This check will verify that the delivery is complete and without damage. This procedure must be repeated for each Site
Switch individually.
Expected Result
Actual delivered material should match materials list.
Delivered material should be in excellent condition and without visual damage
Precondition
Ethernet Switch installed.
Test Procedure Notes
Visually check the delivered Ethernet switch, including power supply, cables, cards, Passed
and spare parts against materials list.

Visually check the delivered components for damage.

1) Make sure the console access port is operating. (Serial port settings are: 9600bps,
8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop)
2) Connect using console o SSH protocol details provided earlier.
3) Make sure all cable is inserted into correct interface according to design.

4) Save the configuration and reboot the switch. Wait for switch to recover then login
as user “admin”. Check the configuration is retained.

command: Cisco
command: Enable, Class

5) Fan and Power verifications

Verify the Fan Operation:

command: Show environment fan

Verify the Power Operation:

command: Show environment power

6) Check system memory. Ensure no excessive memory usage exists.

4.1.2 Configuration Acceptance

Description
This test case will ensure that the customer, before execution of integration acceptance test cases starts, accepts the
configuration of the Site Switches. The configuration file and a series of printouts will be retrieved and delivered to the
customer for acceptance. This procedure must be repeated for each Site Switch individually.
Expected Result
Configuration reflects the customer’s requirements.
Precondition
Ethernet Switch configured.
Test Procedure Notes

5 Integration Acceptance
This section verifies the successful operation of the Solution for traffic. The log file for this
session should be saved, which should be backed up and removed before leaving site.

5.1 Connectivity

The scope of these tests is to verify that the nodes have connectivity to all connected network
elements.

5.1.1 IP List reachability

IP address from document about OSPF, last week.

5.1.2 IP Connectivity

Description

Expected Result
There is IP connectivity to all nodes in networks.
Precondition
Nodes connected and configured in the networks.
