FABRICATION OF STAINLESS L- BRACKET

PURCHASING STAINLESS STEEL BAR

Before anything else the materials that needed by the fabricator must be on hand. Before
you buy the material you must canvass first into different hardware and compared the price
same product ,same quality and but different prices be wisely in buying the materials in
short you need to be a sales man or sales woman.

MEASURING
Performing measurements with same reference through all process make it possible to
create products that match the design exactly and to guarantee product quality. Measuring
will give a guide into the cutting process and give exact measurements according to the
design of the L- Bracket

CUTTING
There are many ways to cut the sheet metal, Laser cutting, Mechanical shearing and
Water jet that used methods to achieve precise cuts for sheet metal. In making the L-
Bracket we use hand tools that not required an electricity which is Metal Hacksaw, After we
measure the exact measurement of the L-Bracket we cut the stainless steel bar according
to the product that we want to make. We use Bice to hold the steel bar and to cut it
comfortable.

BENDING
After cutting the steel bar proceed on bending process with an exact measurement of the
parts of the L-Bracket. The L-shape and the Brace of the product must bend accurately to
make the product goods. In bending the steel bar using hacksaw we cut less than a half of
the steel to bend it and make an angle accurate in L- Bracket. To make the steel bar clean
and no damage we use a wood for bedding or cover the steel bar before we bend it.
DRILLING
After bending proceed on the drilling process but before drilling we measure the distance
of hole into another hole and we make 6 holes in the L-shape and 2 holes in the braces and
we use a countersunk bolt.. For our safety we are not able to perform drilling instead we find
a machine shop to perform the drilling process and explained what to do to make sure
theres no error or mistake in drilling.

POLISHING
Apply polishing method to make the product look presentable and clean. To make the L-
Bracket look good polished the steel bar to make surface smooth and not harmful and
especially to become shining or enhancing its appearance. Metal polishing can be
complemented by buffing but we choice to use sand paper. We apply polishing to serve a
practical purposes, beneath the surface and remove oxidation to prevent further corrosion
of metal and significantly prolonging its working life.
