The Internet, popularly known simply as "The Net," is a worldwide

network of computer networks.

One or more packet-switched networks or subnetworks can be connected

using a router.

Switches and routers are both tools used to connect to a network.

While switches connect different devices in a network, routers operate
at the network layer and are tasked with determining the shortest path
for a packet to go across the network. Devices are connected by
routers across several networks.

To process printing jobs in a network that may include several

printers, print servers are connected to computer systems. Usually, a
print server enables users on a computer network to print documents
without having to transfer files to the computer that is directly
linked to the printer.
