Digital Ordering Interface
About:
In order to attract more customers, the
goal is to make an interface for Subway
near the counter which will provide
digital ordering platform.
Subway is an American restaurant chain that mainly sells submarine
sandwiches as their core product. Besides, wraps and salad and baked
food are also served.
History
● The story of the Subway brand started more than
50 years ago when Dr. Peter Buck, a nuclear
physicist, changed the life of a college student with
a few simple words, “Let’s open a submarine
sandwich shop.”
● The partners opened their first restaurant in
Bridgeport, Connecticut, where they served fresh,
affordable, made to order sandwiches.
It was Peter Buck that gave college freshman

Founders Fred DeLuca the idea to open a submarine

sandwich shop to help pay his tuition. Peter
provided an initial investment of $1000, and
a business relationship was forged that
would change the landscape of the fast food
industry and the lives of thousands.

User reviews and
Ratings

Since 2007, Subway has consistently

ranked in the Entrepreneur Franchise
500. In 2015, it ranked #3 on the "Top
Global Franchises" list, and #1 as the
"Fastest Growing Franchise". At the end
of 2010, Subway became the largest fast
food chain worldwide, with 33,749
restaurants – 1,012 more than
McDonald's.
As a person who has worked at sandwich shops
such as Subway, how do you prefer a customer to
give their order?
● Beginning (can’t believe I almost put this last) GET. OFF. YOUR. PHONE!!!!!!!!!!! If
you are ordering for other people, for the love of all that is unholy, just write it
down! Don’t stand there in line asking “what bread do you want?” then “What meat
do you want?” and so on and so on, KNOW THE OTHER PERSONS ORDER BEFORE
COMING UP TO THE COUNTER!
● Second, speak up, and speak clearly.
● Third, don’t ramble off fifty toppings while I’m still cutting your bread.
● Fourth, don’t just ask for cheese, be specific about what kind of cheese you want.
● Fifth, be polite. Even if you’re in a hurry, just be polite. Even if you’re having the
world’s worst day, just be polite. If you’re extra polite and there’s an impatient
person in line behind you, we might even give you a free cookie.

Problem Statement

● To order the food the customer has to

stand in queues and order makes both
the waiter and customer stressful and
exhausted.
● The digital displays are only for the visual
menu and not interactive.
● There is no official website to order the
food but just to search the menu.
● Customers prefer ordering online from
other online food delivery platform than
actually going to the restaurant.
Reason of selecting the topic:

● The brand doesn’t have any online

website or app of their own to order
the food.
● There is no option other than the
digital menu boards to look at the
customization add on menu to choose
while the employer is preparing.
● Most of the people lack in
communicating the order, so this can
be a good alternative for the
customers.
Concept and ideation

● To create a interface for digital ordering in the

restaurant.
● The device will be setup on the ordering counter,
the purpose of the interface is to make the
customer ordering process less stressing.
● The interface will include menu with its
customization and payments.
● This process will help the waiter as well in
preparing the food precisely and with patience.

Lamp

LAMP DESIGN
Stupa
PROJECT-OPPORTUNITY.

To make a research methodology on an ancient Indian architecture structure/building and

create a lamp inspired by that architecture. The Indian architecture concept for the
inspiration is a Chaitya.

A chaitya, chaitya hall, chaitya-griha, refers to a shrine, sanctuary, temple or prayer hall
in Indian religions.

The main aim is to try to know all the concept and design value and make the futuristic and
minimalist design that can add value to anyone using it.
Research methodology

Chaitya
A chaitya, chaitya hall, chaitya-griha, refers to a shrine, sanctuary, temple or
prayer hall in Indian religions. The term is most common in Buddhism, where it
refers to a space with a stupa and a rounded apse at the end opposite the
entrance, and a high roof with a rounded profile. Strictly speaking, the chaitya is
the stupa itself, and the Indian buildings are chaitya halls, but this distinction is
often not observed. Outside India, the term is used by Buddhists for local styles
of small stupa-like monuments in Nepal, Cambodia, Indonesia and elsewhere.
In the historical texts of Jainism and Hinduism, including those relating to An early chaitya at Bhaja
Caves; wooden
architecture, chaitya refers to a temple, sanctuary or any sacred monument. architecture imitated in
stone, with decorative roof
timbers in wood.
Development of the Chaitya Arch.

Early Chaitya halls are known from the 3rd century

BCE. They generally followed an apsidal plan, and
were either rock-cut or freestanding
Drawing of the "Great Chaitya" at
the Karla Caves.
Chaityas, the entrance acted as the demarcation
between the sacred and the profane. The stupa inside
the hall was now completely removed from the sight of
anyone outside.

The most important of rock-cut complexes are the

Karla Caves, Ajanta Caves, Ellora Caves,
Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves, Aurangabad
Caves and the Pandavleni Caves. Many pillars have
capitals on them, often with carvings of a kneeling
elephant mounted on bell-shaped bases.

DINETTE

102
DINETTE
A dining table is the place where everyone gathers
at least once in a day. It is a safe space to share
food and stories of the day. Tables purchased in this
country are most frequently mass-produced from
wood and can be made with minimal cabinetmaking
skill. The concept chosen, is minimal and useful in
aspects that are ignored in everyday life. Taking
note the space design, the dining will compliment
the place wherever situated.
