Health and safety

The World Economic Forum attaches the highest priority
to protecting the safety and well-being of participants, staff
and the local community. To create a safe environment at
the Annual Meeting 2023, the Forum is working with the
world’s leading health experts and virologists, as well as
Switzerland’s public authorities, to respond to the evolving
global health situation. The Forum continues to monitor the
development of the COVID-19 pandemic and consult with
health experts and authorities, and will adapt, if needed, the
measures accordingly.
The Forum strongly recommends that participants are
vaccinated with the latest available vaccines and take a
COVID-19 test before travelling to Davos.
Participants are required to get tested in one of the Forum
testing centres after arriving in Davos and picking up their
badge. Conducting a test will keep the badge active and
grant the access to the Annual Meeting’s venues. Failing to
conduct an onsite test or a positive test result will lead to the
badge being deactivated.
Masks and disinfectants will be available throughout the Annual
Meeting 2023 at all meeting venues. Additionally, COVID-19
self-tests will be at participants’ disposal at the Forum testing
centres and Registration Centre.

Before travelling to Davos
Participants with access to the Annual Meeting’s venues are
strongly recommended to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
with the latest available vaccines and to take a COVID-19 test
before travelling to Davos.
After 15 December, every participant will receive a unique link
from health-safety@weforum.org with instructions on how to
access the Forum’s health portal to update contact details for
onsite testing.
Arrival in Davos
Pick up your badge
Once in Davos, participants must pick up their Annual
Meeting badge (required to access the meeting’s venues)
at the Registration Centre. Only those who have collected
their badge will be eligible to take a test at one of the Forum
testing centres.
Onsite testing
Participants must show their Annual Meeting badge to take
a test at a Forum testing centre. Badge holders with access
to the exclusivity zone are eligible to take a test at one of the
Forum testing centres.
Participants will be tested with a PCR test. Test results
are processed within 24 hours and emailed directly to the
participant through the contact details provided on the health
portal. The test and its results are automatically connected to
the participant’s badge and do not require any further follow-up
action from participants.
Tests administered outside the official testing centres provided
by the Forum are not eligible to activate the badge. Participants
who recently contracted COVID-19 are required to take
an onsite test in compliance with the protocol which was
developed by the Forum and its provider for such cases.
Badge pick-up on or before Monday 16 January
Participants retrieving their badges in Davos by Monday 16
January are required to take an onsite COVID-19 test at any
of the Forum testing centres no later than 21.00 on Tuesday
17 January to clear the badge and grant access to the Annual
Meeting’s venues.
If the test is not taken before 21.00 on Tuesday 17 January, the
participant’s badge will be deactivated and will no longer allow
access to Annual Meeting’s venues. The badge will be re-activated
when the participant takes a test at a Forum testing centre.
Badge pick-up after Monday 16 January
Participants getting their badges after Monday
16 January are required to take an onsite COVID-19 test at any
of the Forum testing centres within 24 hours of picking up their
badge at the Registration Centre to clear the badge and grant
access to the Annual Meeting’s venues.
Currently, there is no special requirement for entering
Switzerland. However, all participants are encouraged to
consult the Swiss government’s official Travel Check Tool to
verify the latest requirements published from the Swiss Office
of Public Health.
If the test is not taken within 24 hours, the participant’s badge
will be deactivated and will no longer allow access to meeting’s
venues. The badge will be re-activated when the participant
takes a test at a Forum testing centre.
Forum testing centres
– Upon arrival, participants need to proceed to the reception
desk and confirm their personal details with a staff member.
– Medical staff will give the required test kit to each participant
and explain the process.
– The participant will proceed to a designated booth to take
the test.
– Tests should take no more than a few minutes to conduct;
medical staff are at the participant’s disposal at every
testing centre.
Test results
Participants will be informed about the result of their
COVID-19 test by email and text message within 24 hours via
the contact details provided in the health portal. For privacy
reasons, test results are not displayed in the body of the
email, but will appear on the certificate that can be retrieved
through a unique link sent via email or text message. By using
the provided link and the date of birth (Format YYYY-MM-
DD) participants will be able to download their certificate. For
participants with positive test results, a certificate stating a
positive result will be issued.
Positive COVID-19 results
In the case a participant contracts COVID-19, the participant’s
badge will be deactivated and will no longer be granted access
to the meeting venues.
To request support, participants can contact the COVID-19
hotline provided in the email with the positive result. The
Forum’s Health Measures team can also be contacted by email
at health-safety@weforum.org.

Protect your health during the Annual Meeting

Rapid antigen self-tests Wellness
Rapid antigen tests will be available free of charge at all Forum A dedicated COVID-19 hotline is available for advice and
