CAST

NARRATOR Deep mid aged calm toned voice


CLARA LAKES A young adult female
GEORGE YOUNG. A young adult male (calm toned)
PHONE CALL GUY A panicked voice, male
PIZZA GUY

SCENE ONE: EXT. STREETS – EVENING


BEHIND THE DOOR

NARRATOR: It’s 8pm on a cold February afternoon in the year 2009


And Clara is walking home in the dark from work to get
back to her house.

Music: Low and tension building

Sound: Rain, thunder, cars whizzing by, leaves rustle, howling of


he winds and the taping of her high heels on the concrete.

NARRATOR: Clara receives a call from an unknown number.

SOUND: Phone ring and buzz

CLARA: Hello? (She says confused)

PHONE CALL GUY: Someone’s after me and I think you next! (He says petrified)

SOUND: Phone cuts and is left with a


buzzing sound and Clara’s
breathing gets faster.

CLARA: UGH…. FUCK …

SOUND: Her footsteps get faster and her breathing even faster and more
Footsteps but these are less frequent heavy steps.

NARRATOR: Clara starts running and decides to call her close friend
George Young.

SOUND: Dialling of a phone

GEORGE YOUNG: Hello?

CLARA: Hello, have you got some time to call me?

GEORGE YOUNG: Um yeah of course I’m not doing anything right now.

CLARA: Thank you so much! George I’m being followed I keep hearing
footsteps behind me and I’ve ran for a while now.

GEORGE YOUNG: Do you still hear them right now?


CLARA: Not at this moment.

GEORGE YOUNG: Are you nearly home?

CLARA: I’m about 5 minutes away.

GEORGE YOUNG: Okay then I’m going to have to go sorry Clara. Text me when
your home safe.

CLARA: Okay bye talk to you later.

SOUND: Sound of the phone hanging up

SCENE ONE: INT. HOME – EVENING

NARRATOR: Clara arrives home and locks the door blotted shut.

SOUND: Key opening door, door being pulled then shut and locked very
fast and lots of locks. You can also still her breathing and then
a sigh of relive as she enters the house.

NARRATOR: She hangs her coat up, walks into the lounge and drops her bag
onto the floor. She then puts the tv on and falls asleep.

Sound: Bag drop, coat taking off and hanging up, takes shoes off,
footsteps, sound of person laying down onto a sofa and tv
sounds.

Narrator: After about an hour, Clara wakes up


from her nap.
CLARA: (Yawns)Alexa what’s the time?

SOUNDS: Alexa saying “Its 10.05pm”

Narrator: Clara makes her way into the kitchen to


make a cup of tea to drink that’s when she hears a loud bang
from upstairs.

SOUNDS: Light footsteps, kettle boiling, placing


of a mug and loud bang.

CLARA: What was that?

NARRATOR: She runs upstairs to see what is was.

SOUNDS: Herat beating and running light footsteps


and heavy breathing.
BEHIND THE DOOR

NARRATOR: She slowly peers around the corner.


She can hear a noise. A rustling noise.

MUSIC: Faster and more dramatic building up


the suspense.

SOUNDS: Rustling

NARRATOR: She turns the corner

SOUNDS: Cat meow

Clara: Ohh its just you. Come here fluffy


let’s get you back home.

Narrator: Clara returned fluffy the cat back to her


Neighbour’s house and bolts the door shut again.

Sounds: Door bolting and a sigh when she gets


Back in again.

NARRATOR: Clara goes back into the kitchen to


finish making her tea. She sits down on a chair and takes a sip.

SOUNDS: Pouring of water, adding of tea bag,


adding of salt, walking, sipping.

NARRATOR: And the…

SOUND: BANG BANG BANG

NARRATOR: 3 Loud bangs at the door, Clara slowly walks to the door to see
who’s there
. As she gets closer she still can’t see anything so she decides to
open the door
It slowly creaks open to find...

SOUNDS: Loud banging, door creaking, gasp, footsteps, unlocking bolts.

NARRATOR: Nothing.

CLARA: Am I dreaming?

Narrator: With the door bolted she begins to walk away when.

Sound: BANG. BANG. BANG. At the door again, door locks

CLARA: UGH.
BEHIND THE DOOR

NARRATOR: She goes to the door unbolts the door and


someone shouts.

PIZZA: Here is your food

CLARA: I haven’t ordered any food.

PIZZA GUY: Well here you go. Also, there is


delivery note that says you’re next.

CLARA: What is that meant to mean?

PIZZA GUY: Maybe it is meant to say your next door


Neighbour?

CLARA: Okay, yeah, thank you.

Narrator: Clara closes the door, bolts it and


goes into the kitchen to eat her pizza
she opens the box …

SOUND: Unbolting and bolting door, footsteps,


pizza box placing and opening.

NARRATOR: To find out it has extra extra peepers on


something her bf always got but there is no way her neighbour
knew that, so she calls the police.
SOUND: Phone dialling and answering.

CLARA: Hello. Hi police please.

NARRATOR: But they aren't concerned.

SOUND: BANG.BANG. BANG. PHONE HANG Up

NARRATOR: At this point Clara is extremely paranoid


and very angry. She slowly walks toward
the door again to see who’s there. She
can’t see anyone so she decides to open the door and shouts.

CLARA: LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

NARRATOR: Clara now feels so stupid, it’s just her


friend George Young who has come round to
check on her because of her weird call earlier.

CLARA: Oh, George it’s you, oh my god I’m so


sorry. How come you here?

GEORGE: You seemed really scared earlier and I was

In the area so I came to check on you.

CLARA: Aww thanks George come on in ill get you a


drink.

Narrator: George enters Clara’s house they walk


into the kitchen and pop a glass of wine.

SOUNDS: 2 Footsteps, Glass pop, Coat taking off,


Sitting down

CLARA: Here you go.

George: Thank you, (Long ish pause) so tell me


about this call.

CLARA: OH, so today has been so so odd first of


someone calls me out of the blue telling me some safer
them and I’m next. Then I hear footsteps loud behind me for a
while
so, I run home and that’s when I called you. Once I got into the
house about an hour later there were loud bangs at the door like
very loud, but no one was there. As I walked away, I heard
another but softer bang at the door this time it was a pizza guy
who told me also I was next which was really strange. Would
you like some pizza I’m not really that hungry?

GEORGE: Yes please, Isn’t this the pizza your ex


used to order?

SOUND: Opening of pizza box and grabbing a slice.

CLARA: What how the hell do you know that?

GEORGE: You must have told me. (Long pause) You


Know these are 10 pounds now with extra extra peppers.

CLARA: I’m not sure possibly they are.

George: This is dam good pizza, oh wait how’s your


neighbours’ cat?

Sounds: Eating of pizza

CLARA: How do you know about that, I haven’t told


you?

GEORGE: Okay Clara listen here I have this number


and I need you to call it for me and say exactly what you heard
on that phone call.

Okay, otherwise there will be consequences.

Clara: Someone’s after me and your next!

SOUNDS: Knife out of pocket sound, escalated
