The Industrial Revolution was born in England at the beginning of the 18th century, where

the doctrine of liberal economics emerged, proposed by Adam Smith and David Ricardo, replacing

the economic models of the 16th and 17th centuries as they were already obsolete. Adam Smith

publishes The Wealth of Nations (1776) in which the economy is governed by the law of supply

and demand, in which it is also proposed to reduce state intervention to a minimum, free

competition and free competition.

The law of supply and demand was the origin of many injustices, such as the exploitation

of child workers, since for the owners of the industries, work was another commodity and should

not be subject to regulations or civil laws.

David Ricardo, another pillar for liberal economics, was an English economist of Jewish

origin who was a member of classical economic thought. He defended the sale of land and

fertilizers offered by law, based on the sale of land that was favorable for cultivating good land.

It was a Revolution that consisted in the invention of new types of energy and machinery

aimed at greater production, which caused a great technical, political and social transformation in

which the industrial bourgeoisie emerged, of whom many were bankers or merchants, but others

how they managed to go from being artisans to reach this new social class thanks to their

inventions, also had as a consequence of new and important advances in the field of science, such

as physics, chemistry and mechanics.

The cotton textile industry was the first to feel the effects of mechanization with a shuttle

created in 1773 by watchmaker John Kay, with excellent results. The industrial revolution has been

developing along with the existence of man, so its importance is manifested in all acts of daily life.

These industrialization progresses, over time, were reaching other sectors, such as the

metallurgical one, which like the metallurgical one, which improved the quality of the iron, and

steel is obtained,
From 1781 to 1790, hydraulic power was replaced by steam power, increasing the

production of cotton cloth. Thanks to the Scottish James Watt, the first steam engine was built,

which was Papin's engine, which was the first steam piston. Which functioned as a mechanical

slave, independent of nature and that could be controlled.

The power of the motor is later applied in navigation and locomotion, as in 1807 when the

first motorized ship was built and in 1814 the locomotive was invented, this caused merchandise

to spread throughout the world, increasing markets and international trade. But this is beginning

to cause an economic gap between the countries that supply raw materials and the rich countries

that supply processed products.

Then comes the second industrial revolution, which is characterized by the use of

electrical energy, and the creation of an industry dedicated to the creation of standardized

mechanized products, great advances were made in the means of communication such as

telegraphy and telephony in 1876.
