We, the researchers of the College of Teacher Education, taking up a Bachelor in

Elementary Education major in General Education at Western Mindanao State University, would
like to invite you to participate in a research study entitled "Pre-service Teachers’Satisfaction
Level towards Online Learning".
 PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

The study aims to determine the Satisfaction Level towards Online Learning among the
2 year Pre-service Teachers of College of Teacher Education in Western Mindanao State
nd

University.

STUDY PROCEDURES

Researchers will use the simple random sampling technique for sampling. The qualified
respondents for this study will be 138 of the 210 overall pre-service teachers in their 2nd year.
As a 2nd-year pre-service teacher, you are invited to participate. In addition, If you agree to
participate in this study. The researchers will ask you to fill out a two-part survey. The first part
of the survey is to collect your demographic information like gender and your parents' monthly
income, and the second part is a 10-item questionnaire to measure your satisfaction level with
online learning. Taking the survey would take about 10-15 minutes and would be scheduled
when the teacher permits.

PARTICIPANT’S RIGHTS AND CONSEQUENCES

At any time without explanation, respondents are free to withdraw from the study. You
have the right to ask that any data you provided up to that point be withdrawn or destroyed.
Participation in this study is ENTIRELY voluntary. Withdrawal from this study will not affect
the relationship you have, if any, with the researchers. It is the participant's right to decline
participation, however the following terms and conditions will apply when agreed:

1. The respondents will only be interviewed once.

2. The respondent shall provide information the researcher would ask (e.g. gender
and parent’s monthly income)
3. The respondents shall be available during data collection.
4. The respondents must answer the questions accurately and honestly.

Moreover, participants can access the study's results upon request.

POTENTIAL RISKS, DISCOMFORT, ADVERSE EFFECT

We will anticipate that there will be minimal risk in this study, such as the fact that you
will be asked some personal information that may cause you to feel uncomfortable, such as the
monthly income of your parents.

PROSPECTIVE RESEARCH BENEFIT AND INCENTIVES FOR RESEARCH

Participating in this study may benefit pre-service teachers, since the research revolves
around the satisfaction of the pre-service teachers with online classes. Due to the fact that this
will be conducted online, we will not provide incentives to the participants, but their
participation is highly appreciated. Respondents' participation would greatly assist the
researchers. Furthermore, this will help school administrators and teachers to gain a better
understanding of the situation of pre-service teachers during the online class, as well as ways to
assist and improve the learning process. This research will be of assistance to the upcoming pre-
service teachers, as it will highlight the likely matters to be encountered in terms of satisfaction
with online classes at that level. Additionally, this would benefit both the target respondents, the
researchers as well as the institution as it would allow them to determine how effective online
learning is based on the level of satisfaction as reflected in the answers given by pre-service
teachers on the survey.

Additionally, the New Normal's reluctance set the stage for new challenges as the
pandemic continued to sweep the country. As a result of our study, we are confident that by the
end of this study, we will be able to provide a whole new set of ascendancy for our respondents,
allowing them to gradually become more productive, regardless of what obstacles their situation
may bring.

LIMIT OF CONFIDENTIALITY AND CONSENT

A consent form will be sent to all participants of this study as a letter of permission and
invitation if they agree or disagree to participate. All information collected from you will remain
anonymous as part of this study. Participating in this research does not require a name, and all
identifying information will be removed during transcription. Access to the data will only be
given to the research team and the course instructor of the researchers. Further, the study will
take into account all aspects of students' personal information that have an impact on their
academic performance, such as their gender and parent’s monthly income. The researchers will
make sure to keep any information and answers confidential to protect the respondents. The
result of this study will be used for academic purposes only
