To connect C3-200 with a PC directly, connect both devices with a straight network cable. As the C3-200 supports auto MDI/MDIX , it
is not necessary to use a crossover type cable.

Important Notes Do's and Dont's for RS 485 connection

1. RS485 communication wires should be shielded or twisted pair calble.
RS485 communication wires should be connected in a bus cascade instead
of in a star form, to achieve a better shielding effect by reducing signal
reflection during communications.
2. A single 485 bus can be connected with 63 access control panels at the
most, but preferably less than 32 panels should be connected.
3. To eliminate signal attenuation in communication cables and suppress
interference, if the bus is longer than 200 meters, set the number 8 DIP
switch to the ON position. This is equivalent to a parallel connection of one
120ohm resistance between the 485+ and 485- lines.

Introduction RS485 Address

1. Number 1-6 are reserved to set the device number for RS485
communication. The code is binary, and the numbering starts from left to
right. When the switch is set to ON position, it indicates 1 (on); when the
switch is set downwards, it indicates 0 (off). For example, to set a device
number 39=1+2+4+32, which corresponds to the binary code 111001, put
number 1, 2, 3, and 6 to ON position, as illustrated below.

2. For more details, please check the table at the end of this document

Restore factory setting Terminal Resistance

1. If you forget the C3 IP address or the device does not work 1. Number 8 is for setting the RS485 termination resistance. Putting the
normally, you can use the number 7 terminal to restore C3-200 to switch to ON position is equivalent to parallel connection of a 120ohm
factory default settings. The parameters which gets reset are termination resistance between 485+ and 485-
device IP address, communication password ,gateway ,subnet mask. 2. For more information please read RS485 connection - important notes
2. The switch is OFF by default. When it is moved upwards and
downwards for three times within 10 seconds and finally returned
to OFF position, the factory settings will be restored after the
access control panel is restarted.

Troubleshooting

Diagram:

1. How to switch four door one way to two door to way.

 Connect four readers from reader 1 to reader 4.
 Connect two door locks , one connect LOCK1 ,another connect LOCK3.
 Switch on software then reader 1-Indoor, reader 2-Outdoor.

2. How many WEIGAND formats are supported ?

 The panel is set to read 26 bit by default.
 However there are 9 other bit formats which can be selected from the software. In addition you
can also define your custom bit format.

3. How many verification mode can be support.

 Card only
 Password only
 Card plus password

4. Can we integrate IP Camera and NVR

 Currently ZKACCESS software supports ZKAccess’ IP Cameras and NVR
 You can associate a camera to the door and setup a linkage for the same.

5. Can C3 panel support FR1200 fingerprint reader ?

 No , Only Inbio series can support FR1200 fingerprint reader
