Myride VX Group is a system designed to select, play and control videos for
use on video output devices for live or virtual trainings. The system is controlled
using two preconfigured tablets via peer to peer WiFi connection. One tablet is
mounted on an IC5/IC7 for instructor access during training sessions. The
second is for selection of virtual trainings from a desktop or wall mount.

3. IC5/IC7 Bike Power Cable Installation

The Instructor MYRIDE XV Tablet must be connected to a power source for


charging and therefore, a cable has to be installed inside the shrouds of the bike.
The next steps will guide you through shroud removal, cable placement and
fastening.

3.1Shroud removal
Please refer to our shroud removal video on our service portal at

3.1.1 Open the seat height adjustment by lifting 3.1.2 Remove seat post cover by removing 2
the lever into the horizontal position and bolts with a 2 mm Allen key and 1 bolt
fully extend the seat post. with a 3 mm straight Allen key.

Tip!

If a rubber spacer falls off the shroud, use superglue to fasten it back to its position on the shroud.

3.2 Power cable fastening

Before you get started!


The power cable can be installed either facing forward or to the rear. Please
consult with your customer on which option best suits their requirements.

The following steps must be followed if the power plug is situated to the rear of
the bike.

3.2.1 Before fixing the cable, fully extend the stem. The length of cable must extend up to the 20 mark.

3.2.2 Use 100 mm cable ties to fasten the power cable on two points with the Bowden wire.

3.2.3 The power cable should be fastened on two more points on the Bowden wire using 100 mm small
cable ties.

3.2.4 Fix the power cord to the frame using a strip of BLACK tape and cable tie. Take care to stick the tape max.
1 cm above the lower frame so it cannot be seen from under the shroud. Black tape is required to make it
less obvious if the edge of the tape is visible.

The following steps must be followed if the power plug should lead to the front of
the bike.

3.2.5 Run the cable down the frame hiding the cable under the frame/stabilizer.

3.2.6 Fasten the power cable in 2 places with 350 mm cable ties.

3.2.7 Using a flat tipped screw driver, carefully


remove the plastic cap.

3.2.8 The power cable is fastened by inserting the connector from the inside of the handlebar top cover and
fastening them from outside with a washer and a nut.

4 Myride VX Tablet

4.1 Handlebar Mount Installation


The Myride VX Tablet is used for accessing all content of the Myride media
during workouts

If your bike is boxed and the computer has not yet been fastened to the bike, do
not mount the spacer because it must be removed for the assembly of the
handlebar mount. See below 4.1.1 and 4.1.2

Before the VX Tablet can be mounted on the bike, the bolt and spacer fixing the
computer to the bracket must to be removed.

Depending on your bike revision, a spacer may not have been used to fasten the
computer. If this is the case in your bike, a M4 counter sunk bolt was used and
can stay in place during the tablet assembly process.

4.1.1 Remove the bolt and spacer 4.1.2 The plastic spacer and bolt are
with a 3 mm Allen key. no longer needed to mount the
Myride VX bracket.

4.1.3 Remove the bolt from the bracket before next step
with a 2.5 mm Allen key

Tip!

Due to tolerances, you may require more or less


force to slide the handlebar bracket onto the
handlebar.

4.1.4 Slide the tablet handlebar bracket completely onto the handlebar.

4.1.5 Take care to wrap the wires neatly around the computer and fasten the tablet handlebar
mount with the bolt which was removed in step 4.1.3

4.1.6 Plug the tablet into the power lead and the
USB /cable adapter into the power supply.

Do not close the shroud until the installation is completed and the system has
been tested.

4.2 MYRIDE VX TABLET Universal Desktop / Wall Mounts

For on demand virtual workout video selection and media server control, the VX
Tablet can either be mounted on a wall or on a desktop with the universal
desktop and wall mounts. The scope of delivery includes 2 universal mounts.
The mounts could be permanently installed and the tablet can be moved as
required.

4.2.1 VX Universal mount is fastened to the frame


with 4 bolts for countertop use.

4.2.2 Alternatively, the VX Tablet can be mounted


to a wall.

MYRIDE VX Media Server

5.1Connection and setup.

The unit can be operated either on a flat surface, vertically with the stand or
fastened to a wall. The media server must always be installed with sufficient air
circulation around the ventilation slots.

LAN
5.1.1 Screw the Antenna into the media server.

ICG recommends connecting your Myride VX Media Server permanently to the


internet to allow online administration, content and software updates. The Myride
VX Media Server must be connected to the Internet via LAN using CAT5/CAT6
RJ45 cable to download updates and content.
The connected network port must have an internet connection without proxy
server and firewall restrictions.

An Internet bandwidth of >1Mbit/s is required but we recommend 6Mbit/s

The Myride VX Media Server is also fully functional without an Internet


connection.

Audio

The Myride VX Media Server audio signal is transferred through a HDMI cable to
the external display by default.

The Myride VX Media Server can deliver sound to an external AV system via 3.5
mm jack (Green). Please note the settings must be adjusted accordingly in the
menu (Appendix B).

Video output devices

The Myride media server has a HDMI and DVI video output. Either can be used
to connect your video output device to the Myride VX Media Server

Wake up on Power on
The MYRIDE VX Media Server automatically starts once connected to a power
source. The power switch is deactivated and therefore to turn the Media Server
off, the unit must be unplugged or turned off via circuit breaker.

5.1.4
Plug in the power cord to the MYRIDE VX Media
Server and connect to a power source.

Once the media server is plugged in, the on button will light up on the MYRIDE
VX Media Server and a loading screen will appear on the video output device.

A screen saver will start with small ICG icons signaling that the tablets can be
turned on!

5.2 Tablet setup


The virtual and live tablets communicate to the MYRIDE VX Media Server via
preconfigured peer to peer WiFi connection. Best connection is within 25 m.
The WiFi signal can be blocked and/or reduced by thick walls, antenna
orientation and physical obstacles such as metal structures.

5.2.1
Turn on both MYRIDE VX Tablets. After a short
loading screen, the App selection screen will appear

From the App selection screen, you can access the training apps and the
settings menu. The below screen will appear the same for both tablets.

For best user experience, we recommend adjusting the time and language to
your local settings. The next steps will show you how to make the proper
adjustments and confirm that the unit is charging correctly.

ATTENTION!

The MYRIDE VX Virtual and Live Tablets are preconfirgured to communicate


with the Myride VX Media Server out of the box.
Do not change the WIFI settings!

The following will show how to set the time and language settings which must
be adjusted before use.

required. The tablets have been setup for group mode. WiFi is preconfigured! Do not change any

5 Function Test
6.1 Tablet

If the tablet from which the video was selected and the output device are
showing the video, the installation was successful!

7.1 Shroud Reassembly

The side shroud has 13 rubber spacers on the inside which prevent the shroud
from rattling during use. Be sure that they are in place before assembly.

7.1.1 Slide the shroud over the pedal, crank and fasten 14, M4x10 bolts.

Tip!

If it is difficult to find the thread


when fastening the bolts on the
wheel guard section of the shroud,
insert a small 2 mm Allen key to
center the assembly so the threads
line up with the shroud.

7 Appendix

Appendix A
Pairing the WIFI connection of the Myride VX Tablet to the Myride VX Media
Server.
The Myride VX Media Server has to be on and running before the tablets can be
connected. See section 5, page 18 of this manual for details.
This process applies for both tablets.

Step 1
Touch the Settings button and confirm that you would like to continue

Step 2
The Password is: 4, 3, 2, 1
Enter and touch “OK”

Touch the WIFI menu button. If the WIFI button is not turned on, touch it to turn
it on.

Once the WIFI is turned on, the available networks will show up in a list.

Step 4
Touch the network starting with “Myride”.
(The number after “Myride” is the hard drive serial number of the Myride Media Server). The number can
be found on the media server.

Step 5
Enter the password and touch Connect.

Touch the arrow to go back to the Myride menu.

Appendix B

Myride menu explanations.

System Information
The system Information tab contains detailed information about the system and
settings. No adjustments can be made and it is relevant for trouble shooting.

GroupX
Settings and adjustments for training modes, timetable modes, audio output and
manual updates can be made from this menu.

Live only: When “ON”, only live trainings can be selected through the
tablets.

Virtual only: When “ON”, only virtual training are available for selection
through the tablets.

Timetable only: When on, the tablet is locked and only the timetable will be
displayed on the tablet.

Timetable interrupt: When off, the tablet is locked preventing courses from being
accidentally started when a scheduled course is taking place.

HDMI Audio: By default, the audio signal is transferred via HDMI. If you wish
to connect an external AV device via 3.5mm jack, HDMI AUDIO
must be set to off.

CDN: When connected via LAN to the Internet, the Myride VX Media
Server automatically checks for new content, updates or course
schedules once every hour. By touching the “CHECK NOW”
button, you can immediately connect to the server.
