Sound-Non Diagetic There are Non Diagetic sounds
& Diagetic introduced in the beginning,
though as the film progresses
there are more suspense and
clear Diagetic noises from daily
objects (kind of like ASMR, where
there are silent atmospheres but
visible motions from the subject).
Props Most visible props used in the
movie is canvases, painting
supplies and the phone, but the
one particularly eye catching in
the movie would probably be the
knife.
Why? (idea you want the viewer to
understand of the effect you want
them to feel)
I want them to hear what the character
is hearing and feeling at the same time.
Not only realistically, but also to add
some tension the female lead was
feeling as she goes through finding out
the male lead’s suspicious activity. For
example the sound of the clock ticking
from slow to fast, it is real sound but at
the same time imaginary, since the
speed of the clock represents the
speed of the heartbeat and tension.
The reason I still add both methods
instead of one was still to make sure
the audience can differentiate the
moments where characters are in a
good and quiet atmosphere, and we
still want to add some effects in the
quiet atmosphere because without it,
we wont know what the lead is
experiencing.
The typical object that will be shown is
the phone. It plays a role of showing
the male lead’s role with the outside
role. Another object would be the
canvas. The canvases give a slight hint
that the lead loves art. The fact that he
got paintbrushes and a canvas on his
birthday makes it more specific his
main passion is painting. However,
there is a scene where he was holding a
brush to an empty canvas, showing he
somehow lost his passion. The knife
was a sudden trill ending, which would
probably confuse people on what is its
purpose in the first place. These objects
may not have specific physical details,
but each and one actually show a deep
role in the sdg I chose. In the end, the
female lead reaches the phone and
turns it on with a look of perhaps
worry, fear or shock, to show that the
male lead has been facing a lot from
the phone. The loss of passion,

Acting choice The male character shows
random fits of emotional
changes, that including dazing
randomly, sudden reactions, and
still being normal. The female
lead is our perspective, in which
she has an extrovert personality
and was always curious. She was
also very caring with the male
lead.
Light At the beginning, I made use of
window lights, which is why most
of the lighting occurs from the
natural light. I also experienced
using lights from house lights and
flashlights, to play with the low
lighting in the second scene and
the key light in the last.
Setting It takes place inside the house
(indoors), sometimes it takes
place in the room and
downstairs.
Angle The most common angle that is
presented is the eye level angle.
More cinematography angles in
the short film are low angle,
extreme close up, and long shot.
Some cinematography
movements applied are tilting
and tracking.
appearance of the phone and the
character bringing a knife in the bag
presents the causes of cyberbullying
and how it mentally affects a person to
feel threatened, emotional, and
affected in reallife.
The actors will play a big part to try
sharing their personality and direction.
The first character is the male lead of
the story which, and will be the
audiences goal to find out his
suspicious emotional rages in the story.
On the other hand, we will play the film
more on the perspective of the female
lead, which is also confused of the male
lead’s movements. This is to give an
indirect message of the bullying, which
also gives the audience to have fun in
making theories for the movie.
I wanted to give natural light for the
characters, because it gives a different
atmosphere compared to lightbulbs. It
also shows the time hours as we go
along with the story. I also use house
lights when there is a time there is no
windows (or no use of windows). Low
light shows the sight source is above
the characters. Key light is to give the
dark setting, the key of the character,
and mysterious atmosphere.
It indicates the male lead’s room is
probably upstairs, and that the
situations that happens involve either
inside the house, or between the male
with female lead.
Similar to lighting, there are various
types and techniques in films in order
to make it more interesting. As an
introduction to cinematography, I often
make use of the eye-level angle, which
is the angle that exposes the subjects
body all the way to their waist. There
are also certain scenes where I do wide
angle and close ups in order to express
more detail towards some areas that
can show reflections of personally, for
example how they physically dress
their whole body or the close up of the
lead’s eye as it shows reflection of the
phones’ light along with the worry and
stress in her eyes. To give more
animatic movements, I made sure that
there are shifts and control on the
camera.
