of certain enzymes which have the effect to
deteriorate the oil quality of the fruits. Feed-
ing the sterilizer is via a hydraulic operated
telescopic chute which extends into the in-
let opening ensuring minimum spillage. A
hydraulic operated gate controls the flow
of FFB into the sterilizer. A position sensor
signals the operation of the gate and is in-
terlocked with the inlet door position. Steri-
lized FFB bunches are discharged into an
auto feed hopper in a single tilt operation,
