FOOD LABEL
Food label is a labeling or packaging attached to a food product
that lists the ingredients, nutritional information, and other
pertinent details like allergen warnings and storage
recommendations. Any tag, brand, mark, visual representation, or
other descriptive information that is written, printed, stenciled,
marked, embossed, or impressed on, or connected to, a container
of food or food product is considered to be a food label according
to the generally recognized definition. Government organizations
regulate food labels to guarantee that they give consumers
accurate and helpful information.
FOOD/PRODUCT NAME

Product name is usually beside


the brand name which tells what
the food or product is. The name
of a food must be sufficient to
indicate its true nature and avoid
confusion.
NET CONTENT

Net content gives the actual


weight of the food excluding the
packaging. Furthermore, food
label must contain accurate
weights and measures information
for the quantity of food.
MANUFACTURER'S DETAILS
Every label includes name and
address of the manufacturer,
importer or distributor. The name
and street address of the supplier
of the food (for example, the
manufacturer, marketer, or
importer) must be stated on the
label.
