1. Find the volume, lateral surface area, and the total surface area of a rectangular
pyramid with base measurement of 6 ft by 4 ft and a height of 18ft.
2. The regular pyramid roof of the Washington Monument is 55 ft. high and has a base
which is a square 35 ft. 2 in. on a side. The marble slabs of which it is built weigh 165 lb.
per cu. ft. If the room covered by the roof is a pyramid whose square base is 34 ft. on a
side and 54 ft. high, what is the weight of the roof? (Neglect the six small windows.)
3. A regular triangular pyramid with a slant height of 9 m has a volume equal to 50 m3.
Find the lateral area of the pyramid.
4. A right circular cone has a lateral area of 1,280 𝜋 ft2. And a base area of 512 𝜋 ft2. Find
the volume.
5. A right circular cone with an altitude of 25 cm and a base diameter of 20 cm rests on
top of a right circular cylinder of the same base and 30 cm high.

b). Find the total surface area and the volume of the composite solid.
