Odoo is an open source ERP application that provides a system including
procurement and production functions that are practical, easy to use, integrated
and features that can be developed in accordance with the needs of companies
including the garment industry.
The garment industry is a company that produces clothing both from apparel and
clothing such as shirts, shirts, and etc. The development of the garment industry is
influenced by economic growth and technological progress. A good application of
information technology requires designing an enterprise architecture to support the
functions in the company including procurement and production functions.
The author analyzes the business processes that are targeted at the garment
industry and compared to the business processes in Odoo, specifically the
procurement and manufacturing module. Based on the comparison of the analysis,
the author makes a design study of reference to enterprise architecture with the
TOGAF framework using the Odoo application in the procurement and production
function. The TOGAF Framework provides many best practices in the real world,
the resource base provides a lot of reference material, is flexible.
The results of this study are expected to facilitate or provide a view on the garment
industry in applying IT to the procurement and production functions. For now,
industry practitioners still have difficulty proving or showing that IT investments
that are issued are truly useless, meaning that there is an increase in the output of
products and services created significantly for the company (Strassmann, 1997).
