To understand the anti-hero,
we must first understand…
 The Hero

❏ The hero is a person admitted for their

noble qualities, like courage,
selflessness, kindness, and outstanding
achievements.
❏ A hero is seen as “the good guy.”
❏ This person often “fights” evil,
badness, or something negative.
 The Villain
❏ This is the character who has a
diabolical plan to ruin or destroy
something.
❏ They are considered “the bad guy.”
❏ The badness of the villain helps
highlight the goodness of the hero.
