This document provides a template for interpreting radiographic images of bones and joints. It includes sections to describe the anatomical structures, note any fractures, examine the joints, check the soft tissues, and provide a conclusion on the underlying disease, complications, and any other pathology detected. The template guides the radiologist to note any modifications, irregularities, or other abnormalities observed in the bones, joints, and soft tissues.

For interpretation of a radiographic image of bones and joints
Anatomical Description/analysis structure (s) Bones Position (not modificated; if you detect some modifications, indicate, which ones) Shape (not modificated; if you detect some modifications, indicate, which ones) Dimensions (not modificated; if you detect some modifications, indicate, which ones) Contours (not modificated; if you detect some modifications, indicate, which ones (regular, irregular, local absence etc.)) Structure (not modificated; if you detect some modifications, indicate, which ones) Modifications of periosteum
If detect a bony Location
fracture, Line of fracture indicate in your Displacement of fragments rapport: Age of the fracture
Joints Articular surfaces of the bones (not modificated, smooth,
regular/irregular etc.) The state of the apophysis endplates (not disturbed, thinning, compaction, destruction) Radiological intraarticular space (not modificated, dilated, narrowed, absent, symmetrical, asymmetrical etc...)
Soft tissues Ex.: no change, swelling, additional shadows etc..
CONCLUSION 1. The underlying disease (answer to the question,
formulated by the physician who addressed the patient for radiographic examination). 2. Complications of the underlying disease. 3. Concomitant pathology. If You did not detect the pathology, suspected by the addressing physician, indicate: the signs of ----- are not detected Indicate the pathology, which You can diagnose in a radiograph
