Title: Online Bus Ticket Reservation System

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND GROUP PROJECT 2

Problem Statement
Travelers should be able to reserve bus tickets at the comfort and convenience of their
home. Besides, this should be done remotely and the payment should be made online for
improved ease. Conversely, the currently used bus ticket reservation systems allow travelers
to physically visit the booking office in order to book a ticket. Additionally, the travelers can
only pay when they are at the booking office since they are not aware of the availability of
buses. Consequently, this causes the travelers to queue for long when booking and paying for
transport. Conclusively, physical bus ticket reservation is, therefore, time-consuming and
inconveniencing for travelers.

Research Objectives
i. To allow a system administrator update bus ticket records.
ii. To allow a traveler reserve a bus ticket online.
iii. To enable a traveler pay for the ticket reservation online.
iv. To enable the system generate reports about reservation frequency per day.
