HYPOTHESIS
The geological action of the sea can be caused by erosion, transportation and sedimentation.

Erosion is the process in which materials from earth are moved due to natural forces which can be
wind or water. Transportation is the movement of material across the Earth's surface by water,
wind, ice or gravity. Transportation by water preferentially carries small particles in the process, it is
called washing. The incoming waves tend to shift the materials towards the shore while the
outcoming waves tend to carry the materials towards the sea. Sedimentation is the process in which
particles of dirt are in suspension on water and in a very short time they fall down to the bottom of
the sea, recipient... etc

MATERIALS
For this experiment we will need:

- A tray

-a book

- Wet sand

- a towel to not make a mess

- A pitcher of water

- 3 or 4 ice cubes (optional)

PROCEDURE
First, we will put the tray on the book so that it becomes inclined. Then, we put the towel at the end
of the tray so that if water goes outside the tray, we don’t make a mess. Now, we will make a little
hill on the rising half of the tray. After that, we place the ice cubes around and with our finger, we
drag the sand down to make it seem as a river.

The experiment begins. With our water in our patcher, we pour it slowly over the river we made
previously with our finger. Then we will be able to see what occurs.

CONCLUSION
With this experiment, we would learn how deposition and erosion are made through weathering.
This type of actions occurs of beaches, coast lines and mouths of rivers
