Biography
student at Garnet Valley High School in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. I am involved in multiple
clubs in school and am very dedicated to my work as the Historian of the Spanish Club and the
Co-Chair of the Special Events and Outreach committee for our school's Mini-THON. I have had
a passion for cheerleading since I began the sport at three years old. My passion has grown even
stronger since becoming a member of the Varsity cheerleading team in my freshman year. I have
now won a league title, two district titles, and a state championship title with my school
cheerleading team. When I am not with my friends, family, or in school you can find me in the
gym working on my cheerleading skills or watching videos from practices and competitions. In
the summer, I spend my time in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. I love spending my summers on the
beach with friends and family, especially with my colleagues at, my summer job at Scoops Ice
Cream. Every year I count down the days until summer and my return to my happy place. I
believe that nothing is more important than family. I have two sisters who are my role models
and best friends. I can always look to them for hugs, fun, advice, … and clothes. In 2017, after
an unusually high number of family members were diagnosed with cancer, we discovered that 3
genetic mutations run in my family causing a high chance of cancer. After watching numerous of
my family members fight the painfully long cancer battle and discovered these mutations, I
discovered my passion for helping people through medicine. This inspired my goal of becoming
in a hospital this summer as a part-time volunteer to both foster this passion and work towards
this goal. In the future, I hope to attend a research university to obtain my Bachelor's degree with
a double major in Health Sciences and Spanish to eventually pursue this career. I hope that no
matter where I end up in life, I still have these core interests, passions, and people by my side.
