1. What was the speaker's project/idea?

- The speaker’s idea is all about Bored and Brilliant (The Lost Art of Spacing Out
2. How did the speaker come up with the idea?
- When she sat down to do brainstorm, and she came up unproductive. She
realizes that it wasn't like there was something there waiting to be discovered
but there was just nothing. And she started to think back when she last had a
good idea, she realizes it was when she’s pushing that stroller. She realizes that
she was never bored, and she start to wonder with all questions in her mind and
come up with the idea of Bored and Brilliant.
3. Was her project informative? List down all the information you learned from her TED
talk.
- Doing four or five things at once, we’re not actually doing four or five things at
once, because the brain doesn't work that way. Instead, we rapidly shifting from
one thing to the next, depleting neural resources as we go.
- Boredom gave us some clarity and helped some of us set some goals
- If you have never known life without connectivity, you may never have
experienced boredom
- Phones should not be the taskmasters it should be a tool
- Checking or browsing on social medias is just a waste of your time instead of
doing something more productive, more creative or more towards on yourself
4. How frequent do you use your phone? Can you see yourself doing the speaker's
challenge?
- I spent using phone on the average of 8-12hrs/day.
5. What are the possible implications of multi-tasking? Do we finish more or do we finish
less tasks than focusing on one (1) task at a time?
- Doing four or five things at once, we’re not actually doing four or five things at

media users an itchy feeling if they are not with their phones?
- To get more attention from us and they don’t want us to stop for having that
feeling being connected with one another
