AUTHORISATION (GA), AND ATMOSPHERIC EMISSION LICENCE (AEL) FOR THE PROPOSED LANELE
OIL TERMINAL 1 (LOT 1) PROJECT AT AMBROSE PARK IN BAYHEAD, DURBAN.

Notice is hereby given that the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and
Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) on Wednesday, 12 February 2020, issued an Environmental Authorisation (EA)
to the Lanele Group (Pty) Ltd (Lanele) in terms of Regulations 36 of the Environmental Impact Assessment
Regulations of 2014, for the construction of a liquid fuel blending and storage terminal, situated on portion of
Farm 16576 of Kings Royal Flats and remainder of ERF 10019, at Ambrose Park in Bayhead, Durban.
The enclosed copy of the EA contains more information about the reasons for, and conditions associated with
the EA. As the holder of the EA, Lanele will be required to comply with the conditions of the EA. You are also
welcome to download an electronic copy of the EA from the Golder website by using the following link:

Anyone who wishes to appeal the decision, or any aspect of the decision, must submit the appeal in accordance
with regulation 4(1) of the National Appeal Regulation, 2014. Such appeal must be lodged within 20 calendar
days from the date of this notification, i.e. by Wednesday, 11 March 2020. The appeal must be submitted to
the Appeal Administrator and a copy of such appeal must be submitted to the KwaZulu-Natal EDTEA by means
of the methods described below:
