    start putty then write the ip address from the switch

    you need it then start

    riv1-swi109#conf t
    riv1-swi109(config)#interface GigabitEthernet1/0/3
    riv1-swi109(config-if)#shutdown
    riv1-swi109(config-if)#exit
    riv1-swi109(config)#interface GigabitEthernet1/0/3
