Based on the requirement requested by the tuition centre, they will need to have adequate storage

space to store all the following documents and files such as exercises, assignments, eBooks, projects,
and videos of various science demonstrations. Having adequate storage space and zero data loss is
crucial to the tutor. These documents and files are mission-critical for the operations of the tuition
centre. Each tutor has different Disk space allocated for tutoring related materials and standard 20GB
for tutor home storage.

To fulfil the prior requirement, the tuition centre should incorporate RAID (Redundant Array
Independent Disk or Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) in the infrastructure setup. RAID allows
you to take a collection of disks and configure them so that your computer recognizes them as one
logical disk unit. Although failures are imminent, the reliability of preventing data loss is high due to
RAID configures for redundancy.

RAID 6 (striping with dual parity across drives) is recommended for all the other requirements by the
tuition centre as this reads data very fast and has efficient storage and can be used in many large
drives. For RAID 6 to work as expected, it would require at least four drives, and I am recommending
having 5 drives setup considering individual Tutor disk space requirements. Having five drives means
there wouldn't be performance concerns when reading the data and storage

In the scenario when two drives have failed, the tutor will still be able to access the data even while
the failed drives are being replaced and are still able to access the data and most importantly it is
more secured. The only downside of using this RAID 6 is it writes data slower then RAID 5 as there is
additional data that need to be recalculated and it will be time-consuming due to the sophisticated
technology and writing data into the drives would be much slower due to double parity.

Despite these downsides, RAID 6 is still recommended due to its high availability of data accessibility
for the tutor and preparing necessary tutoring material in advance would be able to mitigate the
write data performance concern.

To fulfil temporary storage requirements considering its performance too, I will recommend RAID 0.
RAID 0 uses striping, and this means that the data in RAID 0 is split equally across all drives. The
storage capacity is based on the sum of drives capacities, and I will recommend having two drive set
up to fulfil the 3.8 Terabyte storage space requirement. Using two disks simultaneously offers a great
read and writes performance. If there is a need to enhance the performance further, the tuition
centre may consider using multiple controllers to do so.

The downside of RAID 0 is that it does not provide redundancy and has no fault tolerant. In the
scenario, if the drives had failed, the data reside on the drives will be lost too. Since this is Temporary

the best fit here.
