CE RESEARCH PROGRESS REPORT

Research Title:

“Impact assessment of Land Use Land Cover change on Land Surface Temperature in

Cotabato City.”

On the 18th day of November 2022, right after receiving the approval from the panels to

conduct the said study, the following Landsat Images are some of the data taken by the

researchers from USGS website.

Among the Landsat Images, the researchers picked Landsat Images of Cotabato City with

cloud cover of not more than 10%.

Spectral bands of the landsat images were also taken that was used to compute and extract

the Land Surface Temperature of the study area using QGIS Software.
 This study is expected to gather landsat data of the previous decades up to the present.

Furthermore, the researchers are still trying their best to look for more valid Landsat Data.

Moreover, the website of the USGS, where the data will be gathered is still under maintenance

and the data is not yet available at the moment due to their system. However, the partially

gathered data were already processed but not yet enough in number.

Right after the system maintenance of USGS, the researchers will continue the data

collection.
