Detailed Notification for Entrance Examination

Applications are invited for two batches of USPC CSE Preparation at ‘BAPS Pramukh Academy,
Atladara.’ One batch would consist of candidates appearing for UPSC CSE -2023 and other batch would
consist of candidates appearing for UPSC CSE -2024 and further. Both the batches are exclusively for
candidates who wish to prepare only for UPSC CSE.

Batches:
 Batch-1: PEP - Performance Enhancement Programme (Candidates appearing for
UPSC CSE -2023)
 Batch-2: ICP - Integrated Curriculum Programme (Candidates appearing for UPSC
CSE -2024 and further)

Selection Process:
 There will be separate exams for PEP - 2023 and ICP - 2024.
 Candidate will be eligible to appear in only one of these exams.
 Final decision of the selection process is always at discretionary power of the BAPS Pramukh
Academy.

1. DETAILS OF BATCH:1 (PEP-2023)

The Performance Enhancement Programme is designed only for male candidates who have already
completed their GS foundational course and are now looking for residential facility with competitive
environment to enhance their preparation. This batch is targeted for candidates who are appearing for
UPSC CSE - 2023. They would be provided hostel accommodation till the declaration of final result of
UPSC CSE 2023, so the batch duration will be approximately for 1 year.

Note: Interested female candidates can apply in ICP-2024 from where they will be provided the necessary
test series, reading material and guidance.

1.2 Examination Pattern for PEP-2023

 The selection process for the selection of suitable candidates consists of two papers
 Both papers will be conducted on the same day
 Only the candidates who will clear the cut-off marks in Paper-1, will be considered for
assessment of Paper-2
 The BAPS Pramukh Academy will decide minimum qualifying cut-off.
 Final selection of the candidates would be on the basis of the marks obtained by candidates in
both papers with equal weightage.

Paper: 1 (Prelims-Objective)
 Paper 1 will consist of 100 MCQs and carry a maximum of 200 marks
 70 Questions of GS & 30 questions of CSAT
 Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
 Language: English & Hindi
 One-third negative mark (0.66) will be awarded for every wrong answer of that question.
Multiple answers of single question will be considered as wrong answer.
 If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for
that question.

 30 Question - CSAT
 Mathematics: 10 Ques – Percentages, profit and loss, Average, etc.
 Reasoning: 10 Question – code-decode, series, blood relations, direction, etc.
 English Comprehension: 10 Ques – based on small English Comprehension.

 Paper: 2 (Mains-Descriptive)
 There will be 2 sections for total 100 marks.
o Section A: 1 Essay (50 Marks)
o Section B: 5 Questions based on general awareness (5x10=50 Marks)
 Duration: 2 hours.
 Question paper language: English & Hindi
 Candidates will have to write all the answers in any one language out of English, Hindi or
Gujarati

 Current events of national and international importance.
 History of India and Indian National Movement.
 Indian and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
 Indian Polity and Governance-Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy,
Rights Issues, etc.
 Economic and Social Development-Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion,
Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
 General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not
require subject specialization.
 General Science

 30 Question - CSAT
 Mathematics: Percentages, profit and loss, Average, etc.

 English Comprehension: based on small English Comprehension.

Paper:2 (Mains)
 Section A: Candidate will have to attempt 1 out of 4 given essay topics in about 1000-1200
words.
 Section B: 5 questions will be on general awareness and answer each in about 200 words.

1.4 Token-Fees for PEP-2023
Actual Cost for overall package of training i.e. accommodation, Dinning, Faculties, mentors,
Libraries, Test-series etc. will be provided by BAPS Pramukh Academy for the benefit of student.
But, Rs. 30,000 per student per year will be charged as token for sincerely attending the
programme.

1.5 Eligibility Conditions for PEP-2023

 Must be a member of BAPS family.
 A candidate must hold a Graduate degree certificate.
 Candidates must appear in Civil Services Examination in 2023.
 Candidates must inform to Academy’s office about their registration of UPSC CSE (Prelims),
2023 after notification is issued by UPSC on 1.02.2023.
 UPSC CSE Preliminary examination will be conducted on 28.05.2023. Once the admit card is
issued by UPSC for Preliminary examination, candidate will have to submit their admit card
copy, which clearly mentions their Roll Number.
 Candidate should be eligible for UPSC-CSE 2023 as per UPSC notification.

1.6 Document Requirement for PEP-2023

 Aadhar card of the candidate.
 Photo copy of Class 10th Marksheet, Class 12th Marksheet/Diploma certificate and Graduation
certificate.

2. DETAILS OF BATCH:2 (ICP-2024)

The Integrated Curriculum Programme is designed for candidates who want to join GS foundational
course from basic to advanced level. This batch is targeted for candidates who are appearing for UPSC
CSE – 2024 and further. ICP-2024 includes two stages,

 Stage-1 (Foundation course) will be foundation course for approximately 90 days after which
BAPS Pramukh Academy will assess the performance of the candidates. The selected candidates
will be eligible for Stage-2.

 Stage-2 (Core Curriculum) will cover entire syllabus of UPSC CSE in approximately 11 months.

Residential facility will be provided to male candidates. Live online lectures of Stage-1 & Stage-2 will be
provided to female candidates.

બેચ એવા ઉમેદવારો માટે લિ ત છ જેઓ UPSC CSE - 2023 માટે પરી ા આપી ર ા છ. તેમને UPSC
CSE 2023 ના અંિતમ પ રણામની ઘોષણા સુધી હો ટેલ સુિવધા આપવામાં આવશે, તેથી બેચનો સમયગાળો

200 શ દોમાં લખવાના રહશે.

1.4 PEP-2023 માટે ટોકન-ફ
 િવ ાથ ઓનો તાલીમ ખચ એટલે ક રહવા, જમવાની યવ થા, િશ કો, માગદશકો, લાઈ ેરી, ટે ટસીરીઝ
વગેરનો વા તિવક ખચ મુખ એકડેમી ારા આપવામાં આવશે. પરંત,ુ િવ ાથ ઓ મુખ એકડેમી ારા
ચાલતા કાય મમાં િન ાપૂવક હાજરી આપે એ હતુસર િવ ાથ ના લાભાથ િતવષ િવ ાથ દીઠ 30,000
₹ ટોકન ફ તરીક લેવામાં આવશે.

1.5 PEP-2023 માટે પા તાની શરતો

 BAPS પ રવારનો સ ય હોવો જોઈએ.
 ઉમેદવાર પાસે ે યુએટ ડ ી માણપ હોવું આવ યક છ.
 ઉમેદવારોએ 2023 માં િસિવલ સિવસ પરી ામાં હાજર રહવું આવ યક છ.
 ઉમેદવારોએ 1.02.2023 ના રોજ UPSC ારા નો ટ ફકશન રી કયા પછી UPSC CSE
(િ િલ સ), 2023ના તેમના ર ેશન િવશે એકડેમીના કાયાલયને ણ કરવી આવ યક છ.
 UPSC CSE િ િલિમનરી પરી ા 28.05.2023 ના રોજ લેવામાં આવશે. એકવાર ારંિભક પરી ા
માટે UPSC ારા વેશ કાડ રી કરવામાં આવે, ઉમેદવાર તેમના વેશ કાડની નકલ સબિમટ કરવાની
રહશે, જેમાં તેમના રોલ નંબરનો પ ઉ ેખ છ.
 UPSC સૂચના મુજબ ઉમેદવાર UPSC-CSE 2023 માટે પા હોવા જોઈએ.

1.6 PEP-2023 માટે દ તાવેજની આવ યકતા

 ઉમેદવારનું આધાર કાડ.
 ધોરણ 10 માકશીટ, ધોરણ 12 માકશીટ/ ડ લોમા માણપ અને નાતક માણપ ની ફોટો કોપી.

2. બે ચ-2 ની િવગતો ( ICP-2024)

ICP - INTEGRATED CURRICULUM PROGRAMME -2024 એવા ઉમેદવારો માટે રચાયેલ છ
જેઓ બેિઝક થી એડવા સડ તર સુધીના GS ફાઉ ડેશન અ યાસ મમાં જોડાવા માગે છ. આ બેચ એવા ઉમેદવારો
માટે લિ ત છ જેઓ UPSC CSE – 2024 અને આગળની પરી ા આપી ર ા છ. ICP-2024માં બે તબ ાઓનો
સમાવેશ થાય છ,
 ટેજ-1 (Foundation Course) અંદાજે 90 દવસનો ફાઉ ડેશન કોસ હશે. જે પછી BAPS મુખ
એકડેમી ઉમેદવારોની કામગીરીનું મૂ યાંકન કરશે. પસંદ કરલ ઉમેદવારો ટેજ-2 માટે પા રહશે..
 ટેજ-2 (Core Curriculum) લગભગ 11 મિહનામાં UPSC CSE ના સમ અ યાસ મને આવરી
લેશ.ે
પુ ષ ઉમેદવારોને રહઠાણની સુિવધા આપવામાં આવશે. મિહલા ઉમેદવારોને ટેજ-1 અને ટેજ-2ના લાઈવ

 BAPS પ રવારના સ ય હોવા જોઈએ.
 ઉમેદવાર પાસે ે યુએટ ડ ી માણપ /છ ા સેમે ટરની માકશીટ હોવી આવ યક છ.
 ઉમેદવારોએ 2024 માં UPSC િસિવલ સિવસ પરી ામાં હાજર રહવું આવ યક છ.

 ઉમેદવારનું આધાર કાડ.
