Task Six – Using Communication Skills (2.

2)

Use a range of communication skills and knowledge to support own

progression goals

Undertake the following tasks

If you are NOT producing a UCAS Personal Statement because you do not intend to
go to university, complete Task B and C. Students applying for university should
undertake all tasks

A. Upload your completed UCAS Personal Statement aimed at a specific Creative

Media production course to your Weebly page for this assignment (if not yet
complete, submit what you have written so far by the stated Task deadline for your
group).

B. Communication Skills for Interviews

Identify three-five possible questions which could be asked of you at an interview –

and what might your response be to each one? You can choose between a
university interview and a job/apprenticeship interview (you might find that some
questions can overlap both a university interview and a job/apprenticeship interview).
There are links in the Progression section on Moodle to help you with this.

What do you think your Strengths are?

I’ve very good at hearing rhythm and finding a flow with different music and lyric
combinations
What do you think your Weaknesses are?
In terms of making original music I find it hard to use different software’s to making
original beats and sounds that I think would fit over the lyrics that I have written.
What software's can you use that are valid for this course?
I taught myself how to use sound trap and I am able to use it quite well. I also have a
small amount of experience in FL studio.

Identify three-five possible questions you might wish to ask at an interview – and
why? Again, you can choose between a university interview and a
job/apprenticeship interview. There are links in the Progression section on
Moodle to help you with this.
What key Skills will I learn?
What is the ratio of exams and practical work?
Is the course coursework based?
