    Joint Research Agreement

    Preparation of Implementation Report


    The First Party and the Second Party shall be jointly responsible for compiling a report
    on the research results obtained during the research period after the completion of this
    Joint Research.

    Burden of Research Expenses


    The First Party shall bear the research expenses listed in Joint Research Plan (6) and
    Joint Research Plan (7).

    (2) Suspension or Extension of Research Period


    Upon the occurrence of a natural disaster or other unavoidable circumstances beyond
    the control of the Parties during the course of the Joint Research project, the First Party
    and the Second Party may agree to suspend the Joint Research project, and extend the
    research period upon mutual consultation. In this case, neither one of the Parties shall
    be held responsible.

    Attribution of Research Results


    The research results obtained through this Joint Research project shall belong to the
    research staff of both Parties.

    Use of Research Results


    All research results may be used free of charge for the purpose of educational and
    research activities conducted by both Parties, provided that the obligation of
    confidentiality is fully in compliance.

    Information Exchange
    The First Party and the Second Party shall mutually provide or disclose, free of charge,
    the information, materials, etc. necessary for the implementation of this Joint Research.

    Maintenance of Confidentiality
    The First Party and the Second Party shall not use the confidential information for any
    purpose other than this joint research. The term of validity shall be five (5) years from
    the date of commencement of this Joint Research, after completion or discontinuation of
    the research.
    Treatment of Research Results
    From the day following the completion of this joint research, the First Party and the
    Second Party may disclose, announce, or publicize the research results obtained through
    this joint research in compliance with the obligation of confidentiality.
    The First Party or the Second Party shall notify the other Party in writing of the details
    of the publication of the research results at least one day prior to the date on which it
    intends to do so. The Party who wishes to publicize the research results may, with the
    prior written consent of the other Party, clearly indicate that the research results were
    obtained as a result of this Joint Research.

    Term of validity of the agreement


    The period of validity of this Agreement shall be the same as the research period
    described in Joint Research Plan (3).

    In order to certify the conclusion of this Agreement, two copies of this Agreement shall
    be prepared, and one copy each of the First Party and the Second Party shall be retained.
