I. Introduction

As a university student, we understand the importance of saving money. We found

ourselves in situations where we were missing opportunities to go home because of how much
it cost and the everyday commuting to campus was burning through our money

UEMF’s students without cars now have another ride-sharing option, thanks to an app
developed by us.

II. Project definition

Students looking for rides to and from their hometowns and UEMF UNI are able to see
registered students with cars who are already driving to the same place.

Drivers who create trips and give rides to passengers are reimbursed for their expenses through
the app using debit and credit cards, and WESELNI MAAK takes a portion of that as a service
fee.

Wssalni maak lets students hitch a ride with other peers who might be traveling somewhere
they’re interested in going.

Taking trips on wssaleni maak would help ease students’ reliance on public transit or their
parents to travel, and the carpooling services wssalni maak provides could help cut down on
the need for cars on the campus.

And by Decreasing the number of students who need their own cars could also lend a hand
toward helping the university achieve its goal of carbon neutrality “Corporate social
responsibility CSR=RSE” — producing net zero carbon emissions, as outlined in its current
Climate Action Plan — by reducing the number of cars on the campus producing carbon
emissions.

Drivers have to include pictures of themselves and their cars and receive reviews on the app to
make the experience as secure as.

 The Problem

To what extent carpooling responds to the social and environmental impacts of its
implementation?
III. Social and/or environmental impacts

“Wssalini maak” is a short-distance carpooling solution for home-university journeys,

"faster and more comfortable than a bus, and cheaper than a taxi".

Carpooling is an alternative transport solution to solo driving which increases the occupancy
rate of vehicles and therefore fights traffic congestion and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
Carpooling has a role to play in terms of Environmental impact since it contributes to
reducing greenhouse gas emissions and polluting emissions, but also in economic terms,
thanks to the sharing of costs linked to the use of the car, and in social terms (creation of a
social link between individuals who practice carpooling).

IV. Project objectives

The objective is to respond to the expression of student needs

This project Car Pooling System is an effort to reduce consumption of fuel, our most
important non-renewable resource and traffic congestion on roads by encouraging people to use
cars sharing. So, it is an environment-friendly social application and also helps students to
reduce their journey time.

Objective is a purpose that can be reasonably achieved within the expected time frame and
with the available resources. General objective - To know about how various things related to
carpooling Specific objectives -To know:

how many students use carpooling?

If the carpooling is actually affordable and worth.
whether they find carpooling safe.
if carpooling takes extra travel time.
If carpooling saves them money than other means of transport.
If there is a lot of walking time to reach the meeting point.

We launch our project on 10/10/2022; we start by doing researches, business model to make our
action plan prototype of the App, after interviewing some students from our university students
were eager to use the App asap, we see that our group project is more interested in finishing and
implementing the app in our university and that on 27/09/2023.

VI. Constraints
1. The low-quality or incomplete analytical data
Constraint: Data lays the foundation of every action of a business. Many car-sharing
systems start with a bang but fail to benchmark the industry due to a lack of incomplete
data insights.
Solution: We suggest to create a rideshare app that can offer us a complete insight into
data-driven analytical reports. It will help us create a short- and long-term action plan
for our business operations for concrete reasons.
2. Owning the flexibility to change fares
Constraint: Competition is tough, and we need to retain our existing customers and
add more in the coming times. The rideshare business software sometimes failed to go
for flexible fare change. It might influence the customer and driver retention practices
in our car-sharing system.
Solution: Picking up as software provider to offer us an end-to-end process to build a
rideshare app can be a smart move. It can allow us to own the full customization of our
carpool software without any worry.
VII.Project stakeholders and their roles

VIII. Provisional schedule

In order to carry out this mission, I decided to set up a provisional schedule evaluating the
different stages, but above all the expected duration of each of them.

Understanding of the subject:

This phase serves as a kind of brainstorming, insofar as it consists of sharing all the first ideas,
impressions about the theme of this project. This in order to expose the different opinions,
promote a standardization of the point of view in relation to a given subject, and above all to
highlight the points to be developed, to be clarified during future work meetings.

Writing of the report: The work tasks being distributed, and the information being already
collected and sorted, each member is responsible for writing part of the report. At the end of
this phase, all the written parts are reread by the members of the project group for a common
validation and possibly correction or deepening of certain passages.

Practical cases: This phase deals with the different cases studied as well as concrete examples
found on the Internet. The first case studied is first of all the sites.

Finishing: This step includes the latest checks, corrections to the report, as well as any changes
to the practical cases, before printing the final project report.
