In your journal /diary or notebook, write about your college experiences with the following
questions as a guide.
a. What were your expectations about university life?
- I expected that although you will be eager to study new things in that university, you
may also feel overburdened by the homework. Sometimes, especially in the first
semester or year, you'll devote so much time and effort to a single subject This can be
draining and can make you lose your passion in your chosen course.
b. Describe your life now as a college student and the changes and the challenges that come
with it.
- As a first year college student, I can describe my life now as busy student no time doing
things that not related to studies like the challenges that I encounter at the moment
is lack of good time management, changes in eating and sleeping habits, and not taking
enough breaks for self-care. At first It is hard to adjust the new environment in that
university especially when you came from an online learning like you don’t have enough
stack knowledge in senior high to have a confident to go to class and also can affect
your interaction to others that you’re going to be afraid to communicate with others,
distance learning makes you became introvert person.
c. How are you dealing with all of the changes/ challenges?
- By thinking positive thoughts such as thinking that it is okay to experience all of this
challenges that it will be worth it if I can manage to finish the roller coaster part in my
college life and all the bad things happened in our life has a purpose that it is maybe a
way for us to learned a lesson from it so that if God gave us new challenges again we
will have an innovative thinking to cope with it because It is normal to have an ups and
down all and all we can do is to face it bravely so that you will have a successful life in
the future.
2. Share these experiences with a friend or a family member or with your guidance counselor.
