EDUCATION PARADIGMES

What is a Education Paradigm?

The educational paradigm is understood as a
framework of key provisions and the ideas which are
acknowledged by the pedagogical public during a
concrete time period and are the cornerstone of
scientific research.
Each paradigm of education has a different
perspective on the purpose of education, what it
means to learn, and the roles of teachers and
students in the learning process. It is important to
be aware of the various paradigmes of education
because they influence education design and
practice 4

INTERPRETATIVE PARADIGM

They use meaning (versus measurement) oriented
methodologies, such as interviewing or participant
observation, that rely on a subjective relationship between the
researcher and subjects.
