ENGLISH PROJECT 3

Introduction
When I did my research I found many celebrations that take place in December
around the world, there are some very interesting ones that I didn't know existed
and others that I did but I didn't know what they were and how people celebrate
them and the purpose they have and how important they are for people.
The 3 that I liked the most were Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.
well I'll explain what these celebrations are about .
CHRISTMAS
Of all the world's Christmas holidays,
Christmas is celebrated in most countries
and although it traditionally marks the
birth of Jesus, it has become a symbol of
joy and hope for people, regardless of their
religion.
No matter where in the world you go, this is
one of the December holidays worldwide.
However, each country has its own unique
Christmas traditions,
When is Christmas celebrated?
It should be made clear that Christmas Eve is
celebrated on December 24 and Christmas Day on
December 25.
Something important is that the figure of the Child is not placed until the
arrival of Christmas, when his birth is celebrated, and after being "lulled"
he is placed between Joseph and Mary.
Researching about this was very cool because I found out what it is and
how another religion celebrates.
In my opinion, I think it is a very nice holiday, lighting candles every day
is something very nice because each candle has a meaning and
actually what is celebrated with this is the heritage of the Jewish
religion.
This celebration reminds me of a Jewish friend of mine and she always
told me how they celebrated it and how important it was in their
religion.
This is celebrated December 26 through January 1, Kwanzaa
celebrates African American heritage and unlike some other
worldwide December holidays, this one was first celebrated in
1966. It includes lighted candles, specifically black, red and
green to represent the Pan-African flag. With the daily lighting
of the candles there is a different value to reflect on: unity,
self-determination, collective work, responsibility, cooperative
economics, purpose, creativity and faith. Kwanzaa is also a
time for families to gather for festive meals and exchange gifts.
Where is Kwanzaa celebrated?
With a special celebration for
each day, Kwanzaa is
celebrated in the United States
and other nations that have a
strong link to African heritage.
IN CONCLUSION
I would like to say that researching this helped me to discover that there
are many important celebrations in the month of December around the
world, a characteristic that they all have in common is the union that
occurs with these celebrations and celebrate the heritage of race,
religions and even the birth of a god as is Christmas.
