Family and Community Medicine

The formation planning is adapted to the guidelines given by the Official Programme of the Specialty
(POE). Within its accomplishment there are slight variations depending on the Health Department
according to material resources, services and personnel.

The formation planning consists of:

- Rotations in the different service of Primary Care, hospitals and department assistants.
- Internal rotations or elective rotations.
- Courses imparted by the Teaching Unit that approach the different competences reflected on the
POE.
- Projects requested by the Teaching Unit in accordance to these courses.

In addition, the residents receive courses from each Health Department and other voluntary training
activities.

All this information and the reflections of learning are captured by filling in their Book of Specialist in
Formation (LEF), which is revised by the quarterly interviews by the main tutor.
