Ans. Subtotals feature is a quick way to calculate automatic subtotals, averages, and other
numeric summaries on a group of data.
Ans. Data consolidation feature is useful when there are separate copies of data on which some
calculations need to be done.
Ans. Table Datasheet view helps in working with the data stored in the table. New records can be
added and existing records can be edited.
Ans. Sticky keys allows the user to keep the key active when it is pressed once and when any other
key is pressed then it is processed by the computer with the currently active key.
Ans. First aid kit is a set of materials and tools used for giving emergency treatment to a sick or
injured person, it is a mandatory requirement at all workplaces irrespective of their nature and
kind.
Answer any 3 out of the given 5 questions in 50– 80 words each (4 x 3 = 12 marks)
i. Import graphics files using Insert menu > Picture > From File option. (higher versions: Insert >
Image)
ii. Link image by Insert menu > Picture > Link option or embed image by breaking the link as Edit
menu > Links option and click Break Link button in the Edit Links dialog box.

iii. Scan the image by Insert menu > Picture > Scan option > Select Source > OK. Then insert the
scanned image using Insert menu > Picture > Scan > Request option. (higher versions: Insert >
Media > Scan > Request)
iv. Insert any copied image from the clipboard by using Edit menu > Paste Special option.
v. Drag-dropping images in the document with Ctrl key (images are embedded in the document.)
or, Ctrl+Shift key (a link to the image is inserted in the document. Actual image is not inserted.)
Ans. To link the database table data with the spreadsheet, do the following:
Go to, Tools menu > Options. In the Options dialog box, go to LibreOffice Base > Databases.
Registered databases will be listed.
Click on New button to locate the database to be registered and click OK on Create Database Link
popup.
To link the registered database, go to View menu > Data Sources option. Registered data sources
will be listed in the Data Source Window. Navigate to the desired database and table in it. Select
the whole table by clicking in the top-left blank grey cell. Then, drag-drop the table to the sheet or
click on the Data to Text button in the Table Data toolbar.
Update any changes in the data in data source by selecting the data range in the sheet and using
Data menu > Refresh Range option.
Q. 19 What are field properties? Discuss any 3 important field properties with example.
Ans. Field properties control the behaviour and formatting of the fields. They ensure that data
stored in the field is in suitable format and range. Using properties, we can minimise most of the
basic errors during data entry and up to some extent we can ensure that data is stored in the
table.
a. Entry required: This can be set to Yes to ensure that field should not be left blank. It is
equivalent to not null constraint in SQL.
b. Length: It ensures that value with specified number of digits or letters is accepted. It is
equivalent to checking constraints in SQL.
c. Default value: Here we specify a value to be entered on the field if the user does not enter any.
It is equivalent to default constraint in SQL.
Ans. Requirement of grouping the data is very common in real life and in day-to-day reporting. We
need to group the items to get the summary of distributions, totals, and averages etc. Data is
grouped together where there are certain changes in the values across the data for example
Classes and sections in schools, departments in a company, gender-wise customers, types of items
or objects, city-wise consumers, etc.

Group by clause of Data Manipulation Language part of SQL helps in grouping the data. For
example, to display Total Quantity of items in the stock in the following data we shall write the
query for Item table as shown below:
Query: select Item_Code, sum(Sale_Qty) as ‘Total Quantity’ from Item group by Item_Code

Q. 21 What do you mean by relationship? Give some real-life examples of 3 types of relationships.
Ans. Relationship is an association between the two tables on the basis of common fields. The
data type of both the fields should be the same however names could be different.
