The Heart

The heart is the most vital part of our body.

Its function is to pump blood through the
circulatory system and providing the body
oxygen – rich blood which is needed for
staying alive . It is located in the middle -
left side of our chest. Our HEART has four
chambers, the upper chambers are known as
the left and right ARTIUM. The bottom
chambers are called as the left and right
VENTRICAL. The blood starts from the
upper right atrium where the deoxygenated
blood enters the heart. From there the
blood passes through the Tricuspid valve
and enters the right ventrical which pumps
the blood to the left direction. The blood
then goes through the PULMONARY VALVE
and then through the PULMONARY ARTERY
and then straight into the lungs. There it
mixes with blood. Then the oxygenated
blood passes back through the PULMANARY
VEIN into the left atrium and at last it
passes through the MITRAL VALVE and
gets into the left ventrical and then pumped
out to the rest of the body . our heart pumps
100,000 times and 2 gallons of blood each
day. Approximately our heart pumps 35
million times a year and during a average
lifetime our heart beats 2.5 billion times.
