CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

A. Background
When the need for food or cloting has become a high-priority need.
Cloting has benefited man in maintaining his own survival where in cold weather
clothes can fit the body, they also show a person’s personality to be good or bad with
ancient decency in ancient times, with the limitation of both tools and materials and
low levels of human resources, a garment of bark made from human skin would be
so uncomfortable that wearing a garment made from the bottom of the cotton would
be an alternative to weaving from different regions since then. Over time various
looms with varying motifs and motifs of varied meanings and motif’s of this
particular area indicate the cultural background of a region or typical of an area.

In the light of the content of the matter there are some issues that :

2. That materials are needed?
3. What motifes characterize the island of Alor ?

C. Purpose of Writing
1. Wanting more about the loom
2. Knowing what aquipment is needed when weaving
3. What are the motive’s of the sardine kakn (that give rise to the island of
Alor)
