English HW + Project = Summary about movie “Letters to God”

One day, lived a little boy named Tyler. He lived with his full family members, apart from
his father and grandfather. He knows and loved all the people around him everytime. He
loves to send letters to God through the postmans then into the post office and then
continued to people around him that loved him. But, he had brain cancer since he was very
small-aged.

One sudden day, when the postman had been changed into a new postman to deliver mails
and take mails to send for that area. He was new and he didn’t know everything about that
area. So, he got a lot of trouble there. He even almost got bitten by a pet dog. But, when he
take mails from Tyler’s house, in his heart, he was shocked. Those are letters to God. So, he
gave it to a church where he shockedly met the pastor and prayed with him for him and the
letters there.

It was then the day, Tyler went back to school. Everyone, including his best, best friend
Samantha (Sam) and Alex, a student who is annoyed of Tyler but still loved him. They then
sat together to have lunch when Tyler’s arrived at school. Alex told lots of weird stuffs when
Tyler was talking, so Sam got annoyed and put his face unto his own food. They all got in
trouble and warned by the teacher.

Sam was a very good bestie to Tyler. She even let Tyler be like grandchild and grandfather
with her grandfather. But, of course, Tyler also was really caring about Sam’s life. That was
proofed when Tyler and Sam was laughing together with Ty’s mom at the car on the way
home. Good news came after that. Ty doesn’t need anymore chemotherapy. But, it wasn’t
all good news because there’s is an unknown tumor bacteria in his brain.

One special day, Tyler was called to play for the school’s team on a soccer match. His mom
won’t let him to play because of his disease. But, Tyler and the postman begged her. So,
what could she do? She let Tyler played. It was then the match day. Around the final
minutes, the opponent scored a goal. Tyler’s school now still leads but in current score, 2-1.
They can’t let the opponent scores another goal. Ty then stepped up as GK. He saved the
final shot. His school won and they celebrated. But, Ty’s sickness appeared because he was
really exhausted. Ty then was rushed to the hospital. The postman came. His mom blamed
at him because he supported Ty to play in the match. He then rushed home and became
mad at himself after the crime that he made years ago that made him separate with his
beloved family for years and ages.

A bit of time later, the postman found one of Tyler’s letter about the day he wrote that
letter that the postman kept. It’s all about Sam and him. Then, he remembered he had lots
of Ty’s letter to deliver to God. So, he rushed to people who he wrote about on each letter
to deliver it to them, so they could pray about it to deliver it fully to God.
 It was then came the last days of Tyler that he enjoyed really well because he sang in front
of public in the night fair with his big bro. When it’s that time the postman told about Tyler’s
letters to God that is filled with his love and his prayers for others, and of course with his life
stories and days that he really enjoyed until the day he returned to God.

A few days later, Tyler can’t do anything. He just lies in his bed, feeling bad, sick, and weak
because his brain cancer was in the hardest/furthest level. He can only stay alive for a few
minutes that time. His mom is ready to let him go. People around him who hw loved and
loved him, including the postman, cried on their hearts and a bit of tears coming out from
their eyes. Tyler in his last moments looked around him. Then, after a few minutes, Ty left
everyone he loved and loved him and the world forever.

After that day, people around him are enjoying life like thay are supposed to. His grandma
wrote letters to God about his feelings everyday, the postman was happy because he met
his little boy and his family again, Sam and her grandpa enjoyed life normally and everyone
around the world started to send letters to God also many people are motivated by Ty’s life
never gave up, even though they had a same level sickness or even further level. In the end
of the movie, Sam inaugurated the “Tyler’s Box” for people who wants to send letters to the
mighty and holy God as the showing of Ty’s life who always sent letters to God about his life
stories.

What I learnt from this movie

I learnt to always pray to God, about others and tell him about your life stories that are
interesting, sad, unforegettable, etc because God is our true saviour that listens our prayers,
and our life stories in any form (normal prayers, letters, etc.).
