Question 1:
The given plan in Figure 1 shows the layout of a roof system. The
design concrete characteristic strength is equal to 30 MPa and the main
steel used is 240. The live load is 6.50 kN/m2 and the flooring cover is
2.00 kN/m2. For the part of the roof between axis 1-1 and axis 2-2 (
including the cantilever ), it is required to design a two way hollow-block
slabs supported on hidden beams. Draw to suitable scale the concrete
dimensions of the cross-section of the slabs.
Question 2:
In Figure 1, the part of the roof between axis 3-3, 4-4, A-A and axis
D-D is to be designed as a continuous paneled beams system. Draw to
suitable scale the layout of the system. Design the least critical paneled
beam in the vertical direction.

Question 3:
The industrial hall shown in figure 2 has the dimensions given as
below. The concrete used for construction has a characteristic strength of
35 MPa while the 40/60 high-grade steel is used. ( a = 5.0 m & L = 20.0 m)
It is required to design all elements of the proposed saw-tooth roof.

Question 4:
For the industrial hall shown in figure 2, design all the structural
elements of the main frame.
