The global development network of the UN is known as the United Nations Development

Programs (UNDP). It is an organization that aims to end poverty, diminish unfairness, and

abolish discrimination. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were approved by all

United Nations Member States in 2015, seem to be the UNDP's primary goal. The United

Nations Special Fund and the United Nations Expanded Project of Technical Assistance, both

founded in 1949 and 1958, were merged to form UNDP. The General Assembly of the Nations

founded the UNDP in 1966. The SDGs are a worldwide demand for action to reduce poverty,

protect the environment and assure that almost everyone lives in harmony and prosperity. The

UNDP's goals are described as following in its Masterplan for 2018–21:

 Ending poverty in all of its varieties and dimensions.

 Speeding up fundamental changes for ecological sustainability, particularly by providing

sustainable development policies and practices in more than 170 countries.

 Improving the strength of people and public agencies to environmental hazards and

military conflict.

 Bringing together the efforts of International development agencies in incorporating the

2030 Agenda, and offering assistance for UN leaders are among the other goals that the

UN has fixed for it's own.

The UNDP's multidimensional policy for poverty eradication organizations to boost financial

leadership, improve long-term human development, and increase access to critical services such

education and health services. The organization also encourages equality among women and the

empowerment of minority communities. Strengthening financial governance as well as the

development of the private sector is one of the primary things the UNDP combats poverty. This
