Arabia Sea a northwestern arm of the Indian Ocean between India and
Arabia.
2. Aral Sea The Aral Sea is an endorheic salt lagoon, or inland sea, located in
Central Asia, between Kazakhstan to the north and Uzbekistan to the south.
While it is called the "sea", Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are considered
landlocked states.
3. Arctic Ocean The Arctic Glacial Ocean or simply, Arctic Ocean, is the smallest
and northernmost part of the world ocean on the planet. It lies mainly north of
the Arctic Circle, occupying the area between Europe, Asia and North America.
4. Bay of Bengal The Bay of Bengal is a sea in the northeastern area of the
Indian Ocean. Its shape resembles a triangle. It is bordered on the east by the
Malay Peninsula, on the west by the Indian subcontinent. The northern tip of the
gulf borders the Indian state of West Bengal and Bangladesh
5. Bering strait The Bering Strait is an arm of the sea located between the eastern tip of
Asia and the northwestern tip of America. Its waters connect the Chukotka Sea to the
north with the Bering Sea to the south.

6. Black Sea The Black Sea is a sea located between Eastern Europe and
Western Asia. It is enclosed between the Balkans, the Pontic steppe, Crimea, the
Caucasus and the Anatolian peninsula.
7. Caspian Sea The Caspian Sea is a brackish water lake that stretches between
Europe and Asia. It is the largest lake in the world, its area is 371 000 km², its
dimensions are 1210 km in a north-south direction and from 210 km to 436 km
in an east-west direction. Its average depth is 170 m, the maximum is 995 m

by China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Its area is about 1 200 000 km². Its
northern part, between China and the Korean peninsula, is known as the Yellow
Sea.
9. Euphrates River The Euphrates is a large river of Western Asia, the
westernmost of the two great rivers that define Mesopotamia, along with the
Tigris. Born in Turkey, flows through the mountains of Anatolia to Syria and later
to Iraq

languages, gáṅgā, which means 'goes, goes', that is, 'that moves quickly'; in
Devanagari script, गंगा; in the IAST transliteration system, gaṅgā— is an
international river of the Indian subcontinent flowing through India and
Bangladesh.
11. Gulf of Thialand The Gulf of Thailand or Gulf of Siam is located in the Pacific
Ocean, bathing the coasts of Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam; and is
bordered in a southeasterly direction by the South China Sea.
12. Huang He The Yellow River or Huang He, formerly Hwang-ho, is a long river
in central China that flows mainly in an easterly direction, through the provinces
of Qinghai, Gansu, Henan, Shandong, Shanxi and Shaanxi, and the autonomous
regions of Inner Mongolia and Ningxia, until it drains into the Bohai Sea.
13. Indian Ocean The Indian Ocean is the part of the earth's global ocean that
bathes the coasts of East Africa, the Middle East, South Asia and Australia. It is
the third largest ocean by surface area and covers approximately 20% of the
planet's surface.
14. Indus River The Indus is an Asian river that runs through the Indian
subcontinent, one of the longest on the continent, the most important in
Pakistan and one of the main ones in India.
15. Lake Baikal Lake Baikal is a huge ancient lake in the mountainous region of
Siberia, Russia, north of the Mongolian border. It is considered the deepest in
the world and is surrounded by a large network of hiking trails called the Great
Baikal Trail. The village of Listvianka, on the west bank, is a popular starting
point for wildlife watching tours during the summer, as well as ice skating and
dog sled tours during the winter.
16. Mediterranean Sea The Mediterranean is a continental sea that connects to
the Atlantic Ocean through the Strait of Gibraltar. Surrounded by Europe, Africa
and Asia, it witnessed the evolution of several ancient civilizations such as the
Egyptians, the Phoenicians, Hebrews, Greeks, Carthaginians and Romans.
17. Mekong River The Mekong River is a long river in Southeast Asia that flows
in a south-southerly (slightly southeast) direction through six countries(China,
Burma, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam) until it drains into the South
China Sea.
18. Pacific Ocean The Pacific Ocean is the largest part of the world's ocean on
Earth. It occupies a third of its surface and extends approximately 15,000
kilometers from the Bering Sea.
19. Persian Gulf The Persian Gulf is a large shallow marine gulf located between
Iran and the Arabian Peninsula. It is an extension of the Indian Ocean in the
Middle East region
20. Red sea The Red Sea contains some of the world's hottest and saltiest
seawater. With its connection to the Mediterranean Sea via the Suez Canal, it is
one of the most heavily traveled waterways in the world, carrying maritime
traffic between Europe and Asia.
21. Sea of Japan The Sea of Japan is an arm of the Pacific Ocean that stretches
between the Japanese archipelago to the east and the Asian continent to the
west. It covers an area of 978 000 km². In Korea it is called the East Sea.
22. Sea of Okhotsk The Sea of Okhotsk is a sea located in the northwestern
Pacific Ocean, bounded by the Kamchatka Peninsula in the east, the Kuril Islands
in the southeast, the Japanese island of Hokkaidō in the south, the island of
Sakhalin in the west, and a long stretch of the eastern part of the Siberian coast
in the west and north.
23. South China Sea The South China Sea, South China Sea or Simplified China
Sea and also South China Sea, known in Vietnam as the East Sea and in the
Philippines as the West Philippine Sea, is a marginal sea of the Pacific Ocean.
24. Suez Canal The Suez Canal is a navigable artificial canal located in Egypt that
links the Mediterranean Sea with the Gulf of Suez through the Isthmus of Suez.
The canal turned the Sinai region into a new peninsula, forming the border
between the continents of Africa and Asia.
25. Tigris River The Tigris is a large river of West Asia, the easternmost of the
two great rivers that define Mesopotamia, the other being the Euphrates. The
river flows south from the mountains of eastern Turkey through Iraq and flows
into the Persian Gulf.
26. Yangtze River The Yangtze is a long river in China—the largest in the country
and on the Asian continent—that flows in SE and E directions through eight
provinces—Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Qinghai, Sichuan, and Yunnan.
27. Yellow Sea The Yellow Sea is the northern part of the East China Sea that
becomes part of the Pacific Ocean. It is a wide sea, occupying an area of about
417 000 km², although it is shallow, with a maximum depth of 105 meters. It is
located between mainland China and the Korean peninsula.
