ASIA
The video that I have watched is All About Asia. We all know that Asia is the largest of
the 7 continents covering over 17 million miles square. Asia takes up 30% of Earth's land
area. It is so large that is why it is separated into six parts such as Northern Asia, Central
Asia, Eastern Asia, Southern Asia, Western Asia, and South-East Asia. This continent is
bordered by Ural Mountains on the West, Arctic Ocean on the North, Pacific Ocean on the
East, and Indian Ocean on the South. Asia has over 4 billion people that covers 60% of the
world population. China is the most populated country in the world with over 1.4 billion
people and the second is India with 1.3 billion people. The smallest country in Asia is the
Maldives. It consists of 1,192 coral islands.

Asia is the home of the highest and lowest point on land. The Mount Everest is the
highest point on Earth that is located in Asia. While the lowest point is the Dead Sea.
There's so much natural salt in it and even a person can float on it. Yangtze River is the
longest river in Asia. It is the third largest river in the world but it is the longest river flowing
through a single country, China. Asia is also the home of largest lake. The Caspian Sea is
the largest lake and one of the deepest lakes in the world with the depth of 3,300 feet.
Another famous landmark in Asia is the Gobi Desert. It is a cold desert and driest place in
Asia. It is also the 5th largest desert in the world. The first dinosaur egg was found there.
Moreover, some of the world’s major resources on Earth found in Asia. Such as minerals,
tin, coal, aluminum, gold, iron ore, and oil. Because of its large size, Asia is a diverse
country rich in races, culture, and languages. Many of the world’s religion originated in Asia
including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Asia also includes 8
different climate types. Asia's plant life includes grasses, shrubs, cacti, pine, fur, and
spruce.

Some of the areas in Asia are home to wealthy people. While other places are filled
with poverty and people who are very poor. Asia indeed is a large and extremely diverse
continent with an interesting history. Now I recognize that by studying the culturally and
historically diverse areas of Asia that provides opportunities for students to discover new
global perspectives. Studying Asia is not just about entertainment, tourism, or memorizing
facts, dates and the details of famous personalities in school. More importantly, it is also
about moral education and nation-building.
