Innovations in the Pharmacology Syllabus for second year BDS

In order to facilitate and streamline the knowledge about the plethora of drugs taught in the subject of
Pharmacology, the following innovations are being suggested to help the students to easily assimilate
the vast knowledge of the subject. This will decrease the unnecessary strain during the learning process,
at the same time retaining the focus on important and pertinent aspects of the drugs that will enable
them to meet the rigours of dental practice.

The whole syllabus given by DCI will be divided into ‘MUST KNOW’ and ‘DESIRABLE TO KNOW’ topics.

• Chelating Agents
• Antithyroid Drugs
• Skeletal Muscle Relaxants
• Drugs affecting calcium balance
