SUBJECT : REQUEST FOR WOOD SAMPLES IN SUPPORT TO

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FMB XYLARIUM

Referred to your Office the Memorandum dated October 21, 2022 from FMB Director
Tirso P. Parian, Jr., CESO IV pertaining to the request for submission of various wood
samples @ 3” x 9” x 18” in dimension taken from the confiscated and/or apprehended
forest products under your respective area of jurisdiction. The same will be used by the
FMB Central Office as showcase of different wood samples in the establishment of
Xylarium or Wood Library.

In connection to this, please be advised to submit at least 5 wood species samples found in
the Wood Identification Manual. In determining the proper information and wood
identification of the collected/submitted wood samples, please see attached Annex A”
Categories of Wood Samples and Annex B” List of Species found in Wood Identification
Manual for reference and perusal.

For information and compliance not later than November 25, 2022.
