 Stealth marketing, also known as buzz marketing, is any marketing strategy that
advertises a product to people without them knowing they are being marketed to (See
also Buzz Marketing). There are many techniques in stealth marketing, the most
common being product placement and undercover marketing.
 The main purpose of stealth marketing is not to generate immediate sales, but to
create interest and excitement that will make consumers more receptive to direct
advertising later.
It is like The Joneses movie, the fake family apply stealth marketing. Kate is the leader
of a team of stealth marketers, professional sales people who disguise product
placement as a daily routine.
The good thing is they are apply unique and great marketing strategy, they are pretend
to be rich family, happy family with luxury lifestyle. Their clothing, accessories, furniture,
and even food are carefully planned and stocked by various companies to create visibility in
a desirable consumer market, it is purpose to be considerate neighbors, so the neighbors
follow their lifestyle, they did good stealth marketing so that local stores and businesses are
stocking products based on the Joneses' trend-setting styles. They can sold many products
without the customer knowing they are the marketers. they lifestyle who like party and
visited and show off they treasure it is easily to them to get the customer.
The bad thing is the marketers not considered the cause their marketing strategy, we
can see in the movie the accident occurred because of their products, when the neighbor
suicide it caused a lot of debts to be paid because of extravagant lifestyle and the
companies that employ them are too focused on short term sales, so that consumers are
not considered survival.
