What is a Community?
A community is group of people
living or working together in the
same area.
People in the same community might
go to the same school, shop at the
same stores and do the same things.
 They also help each other and solve
problems together.
Some communities are small. Your
family and friends are a type of
community.
Your class and school are small
communities. Your neighbourhood is
also a community. Amelia’s Ward is
made up of many neighbourhoods
like Cinderella City, Lover’s Lane,
Self Help Scheme, South Amelia’s
Ward and Well Road.
