E-TRIKE FLOAT COMPETITION

MECHANICS AND CRITERIA- Draft

General Mechanics:
1. All float entries should be built on an e-trike vehicle.
2. The float entry must depict a conceptualized drama based on Batch’s Chosen Country
representation during the parade.
3. All floats must be at the Venue one (1) hour prior to the Parade Schedule for line-up.
4. All floats must be able to travel the entire parade route and may not, in any case, cause
slowing or otherwise delay the parade movement. Your batch will be responsible for
transporting the float to and from the parade.
5. Float will be displayed after the parade. Therefore, participants must make sure that
their floats will remain intact and presentable for the duration of the display.

Design Guidelines:

1. Participants are welcome to use any material, be it natural or artificial.


2. Floats should be adorned with amazing and colourful effects and must be attractive.
3. The use of streamers and placards as part of the design are not allowed.
4. Floats must have a dimension of 2meters x3meters.
5. All floats are required to carry identification batch year to be judged accordingly.
6. All float entries will be judged base on the creative design, artistic merit, and audience
impact.

Criteria for Judging:

 Creative Design 30%


 Depiction to Chosen Country 25%
 Utilization of Materials 25%
 Dramatic Impact 20%
Total 100%

Safety Measures:
1. Decorative materials on floats must be NON-COMBUSTIBLE or FLAME-RETARDANT.
2. The use of flame devices or fuel fired torches are also PROHIBITED.
3. Fireworks or other pyro techniques are NOT PERMITTED to be discharged.
4. No one may step on or off the float until parade is completely stop.
