Advocacy Campaign: Women Empowerment

For years, women became the primary focus of erroneous and illogical criticism coming from the
society; which create a stigma that we are still fighting even up to this day. Back then, we are being
pushed to follow and conform to the standards set to us by the patriarchal system. (Krizel) – galit,
pagtitimpi, maraming gusting sabihin, masama loob

We have always been seen as the one who is weak and naïve, the incapable and the incapacitated,
simply a nitwit, as someone who should always follow the lead of men, a trophy, a satisfaction of one’s
sexual desire, a producer of heir (nothing more, and nothing less), as someone whose value was less
than a cent. (Evelyn) - galit, pagtitimpi, maraming gusting sabihin, masama loob

For years, we tried to break this wall that separates US, women from the world. The foundation of the
Feminist Movements, the successful call for women’s right to suffrage, education, and expression.
(Maxine) – parang pinapalaya, nakikita na ang liwanag, lighter mood

Remember how, women became the light during wars and famine, serving on grounds as doctors,
nurses, fighters, guerilla leaders, educators, and even serve as the conveyor and keeper of important
information during wars, putting half of their lives in the pits of death. (Vien) - parang pinapalaya,
nakikita na ang liwanag, lighter mood

Throughout history, we can claim that we already succeeded, sort of, but we must continue to move to
achieve the certainty of tomorrow. Nowadays, women again are in the limelight, not as an empowering
movement, but as a minority that has been subjected to massive sexualization and victims of violence in
any sense. (Jean) – motivating, strong ganon

National leaders, in our country, shows a very dangerous image on how we should see and treat
women, misogynistic remarks, ignoring laws that are already on their due that protects the welfare and
rights of every woman of all age, and the revival of the centuries-old perception of women, which
created the narrative that we are trying to rewrite up to this modern times. (all girls) – matapang na and
confident

Emotions: Motivating, persuading

For us to begin, you must know and believe that: You are not just a woman, you are a fighter, a mother,
an educator, a leader, an empowered being that must not be dictated, you are strong, has its own wit
and strengths, YOU ARE A WOMEN! (Kyle)

All:

MARCH with us for a better future, together, let’s achieve WOMEN EMPOWERMENT and break the wall
of a gender-biased society and serve justice and equality to all!
