VI. Answer the following questions:


1. Who was the Tin Wood man ? Where did he live?
Ans: The Tin Woodman was the emperor of Winkies. He lived in a large tin
castle which had a pretty garden with colourful flower bed and tin statues of
his friends.
2. What was special about the furniture in the tin castle ?
Ans: Every bit of the furniture in the tin castle was made with brightly
polished tin- the tables , the chairs , the beds –even the floors and walls
were made of tin.
3. Describe the dinner in the grand tin dining hall.
Ans: At dinner ,Dorothy and everybody else ate from tin dishes that shone
just like silver .What pleased them the most about the dinner was the tin
orchestra that played sweet music while they were eating. The players were
not tin ,just ordinary Winkies ,but the instruments they played were all tin-
tin trumpets ,tin fiddles ,tin drums, flutes, horns and all.
