LOVE AND ITS AFTERMATH

They say you eventually become a servant the moment you started to
admire someone. It will happen so fast, like how the cold wind would
go from a direction to another. And it wouldn’t go unnoticed for it shall
leave you shivering mercilessly. You will embrace the breeze, despite
being aware that it was a bitter wintry wind blowing all along. Love will
meet you with treachery and violence, it would be a fine consummation
to take and drive you insane afterwards. Alarming isn't it? Yet it's
thrilling how you can eventually grow the moment love unleash some
things out of you: a fool, a slave, a beggar and a little child.

You will be a fool; smile at grief, walk in the fire, sail in a raging sea, and
look for the stars when it's broad daylight. Well I am not talking about
the actual ones, but the fact that you will eventually be interested in
everything they devote their attention in, how you'd think of them
every single time, or the way those strange tingling sensation would be
active just because of a very small interaction you have with them, eye
contact especially, and how your world will revolve around them,
makes it look dangerous yet worthy of happening. Everyone would be
sensible of the stupidity in you, but you were tough and when you
stopped being one, the wise person you are will bloom. The moment
you take a break, reality shall hit you and your worth will be seen.

You will be a slave; the one working daily on how to make the person
you love admire you back, without any severance pay. You'd begin to
praise the them, and tell what a pleasure it was to get on ignoring
someone's flaws, and soon feel bad when they're not feeling well. A
servant will show, and yes it is you offering all kinds of service just to
persuade them into noticing you til your efforts run out, and yourself
will be left without anything else. But it won't matter, because you'd be
too desperate, enough to notice that you're slowly getting tired. And
when you do, you will force yourself to rest, stop for a while, until you
no longer want to be a person who is strongly influenced and controlled
by love, or infatuation I say.

You will come knocking to the door of the person you admire no better
than a beggar asking for a coin, and little more than a child longing to
be in his mother's arms. Patience will take over and you will wait for
what is beyond your reach. And mind me, when that patience runs out,
you will be lost, and beg for love afterwards. Your tears will be wasted,
you'd say you're hungry and when they don't respond. You'll know
you'd mourn, sorrow exceedingly, and when you see all the mischief of
what you thought love had brought, You'll repent and over the tears
and scars you obtained comes shedding. And every time you do, a new
version of yourself will rise. As you let go and cast away all the layer of
heartaches in you, your perspectives and interests will shift. Happiness,
and peace will come naturally, greater than how love does.

Love when you finally found it, it consumes you. Nothing compares to
the sorrow it may cause, but surely every tear you ever cried, every
disappointment that'd come will be worth it, because it is where life
has lead you to. So love like you should, see the stars in a person's eyes,
how it brings light. Appreciate the sunsets in their smile, how you may
experience a moment of peace in mid of chaos just at the sight of it.
Notice how their presence resembles calmness. Find a home in a
person's form, search for a companion, so that each time the dead
weight of life would try to knock you down, you'd strive for survival,
because you finally have every reason to.
